I worked pt time in a Department Store call Goldwater in Scottsdale Az.Thiswas 1972. One of the ladies working, asked me to try Zizanie.I have been wearing it every since. I even purchased a couple of bottles in Paris on my Honeymoon. It has been harder to find it.

One of the two best mens fragrances.
Used this a lot in the 1960's. I thought it had vanished but found it at fragrance X. My order came soon and I am very pleased to be reunited with Zizanie. Great fragrance, but not overwhelming.

Old time favorite
This fragrance has been on the market since 1932. I think it is one of the unusual fragrances still available today. I used this many years ago and recently checked to see if it was still available to puchase.

Glad to find Zizanie again!
About 40+ years ago I noticed a friend of mine's fragrance and asked him about it. He said it was Zizanie... so I purchased some and used it for some years. Then I couldn't find it and used Facconable, one of my very favorites. I was so happy to see that FragranceX had Zizanie. It has a soft, powdery and clean fragrance, yet masculine. I'm so happy to have it again.

Sophisticated scent
I use the product sparingly from time to time on special occasions, being mindful of those who may be allergic to scents. I have used Zizanie de Fragonard since the 1960's, and have visited the Fragonard establishment in Grasse, France.

too powdery
This product was not how everyone described it. It was very powdery and feminine. I was expecting patchouli and earthy scents. Instead it smells like a female's perfume crossed with baby powder. There is no balance in the smell. It's all high notes and no mid. It seems to punch you with powder right up front and finish with a musky smell of gym bag.The price is very affordable and you get plenty of cologne, but it's not even close to what I was looking for. I wanted an inexpensive cologne for casual use maybe after the gym. This scent was just in the complete wrong direction.

A classic smell similar to Bay Rum. May not be for everyone
Smells similar to the classic cologne of yesteryear called Bay Rum. May not appeal to those who prefer the more modern type of colognes which are popular today.

Interesting and individual
Great unusual fragrance. Individual, interesting and long lasting. Makes a statement - like me! I have only ever found it at Fragrance X - my source for my difficult to find fragrances. great product, poor packaging
very disappointed in one of my bottles. I know we could get a tester, but the bottle had this sticker that said tester on it with no cap. What bothered me is that it didn't even say Zizanie on the bottle. My second bottle had a cap and had the Zizanie label on it. I could never give the first one as a gift. Just a grey bottle with no writing on it. Should not charge as much for those bottles. The actual scent is awesome!

Where is the masculine scent?
This was my first time at being disappointed with a purchase from FragranceX. I did not find this cologne to have a "woody,sandalwood/patchouli" scent at all. I found it to be more of a feminine/baby powder scent and will, more than likely, give the cologne to my daughter.

I know this product since 1965 and i must admit the price have not changed much since that time;This is a classic of all times and i am so grateful that it is still in the market . I must congratulate you for having this product on your shelves; If you knew the meaning of "ZIZANIE" which translate from french to discord you will understand why;Whenever you go you will get so much attention that it could create a real ZIZANIE ; Congratulation

Exactly what I wanted and when

A Colonge for all times
I started using this Cologne in 1960 and have never tired of its smell. I use at least two other products but I receive more compliments for Zizanie. I am happy to find Zizanie at fragrancex.com as it is not in every location. If you want to be distinct, use Zizanie.

Classic and Refined
This is great for an evening out...for a dinner date, a movie or play...or a dinner party...sophisticated and elegant Zizanie is a timeless fragrance. Just for fun, google Zizanie and Alan King...Zizanie...I highly recommend it.

Zizanie is a great aftershave
Zizanie is moderately 'heavy' without being sickly, it also has a subtle degree of freshness. I've tried quite a lot of aftershave and I don't think anything comes close to it. I used to wear it in the UK in the early seventies, but it hasn't been available for years. It's just as I remember it. Er, no I wouldn't recommend it to a friend...it's my secret!

THAT SPECIAL SCENT
My husband was wearing this scent when we first met. It was unique to him, I had never smelled it before. His mother gave it to him every Christmas, but after her death we never could find it in stores. We had no idea where she got in New Orleans. I was so excited to find it and my husband was very surprised on christmas morning. It brought back memories of his Mom and of "dating days". Now I will know where to shop every Christmas. CLASSIC AND CLASSY
I bought a bottle of this fragrance many moons ago for my Dad. It was advertised as the most expensive after shave in the world and cost a bomb. Delighted to have found it again, especially at FragranceX prices (!) and it smells just as good. It's very subtle and haunting and I have no doubt that I'll be nicking it from my husband for a sly spray.

Zizanie Cologne
The first time I received this product was 40 years ago from my wife. Although I occasionally use other colognes, this is by far my favorite. I am always complimented on the fantastic aroma of this aftershave. I wish that it was still available in the 8 oz. bottle. I would highly recommend the Zizanie Cologne.

Bold and attractive
This scent proves that if its new its not true. I have been wearing Zizaine for 40 years and I have gotten compliments from women and men of every age. I am 58 and it smells even better now. The fragrance is bold at first and after time it becomes subtle and just a slight whif can turn any persons head. The classic statement,what are you wearing? When I say zizanie they just smile and say that smells like a man!

A timeless classic to be used every day, especially for romantic dates. Isn't overpowering, yet atracts a lot of attention. The current variety isn't as perfectly balanced as the original one from the 1930's, though.
