It's absolutely a rare combination of herbs and spices. Very useable in both tropical and cold climates.

A scent for a man.
It was discontinued in the 90's. I kept, and still have, the last blue conga drum bottle l had. I made the little I had left last years. I would open it up and smell it, and wished I could find something like it over the years, but never did. Then after many years I saw it was back in a different package and grabbed it up and it smelled the same. A manly scent. Not one of those scents, that I detest, that is hard to tell if it is for a man or a woman. I liked it back in the 90s when I was in my 20s and I like it even more now that I'm in my 50's.

Made a mistake. Definitely not for me !
Based on reviews I bought Havana and 900 and regretted it instantly. I like classics like Habit Rouge for example but these two are just too much; bitter, herbaceous, nauseating and medicinal. Btw, Havana City does not smell like a medicine cabinet unless I visited the wrong City. For freshness and classy scents there are much better alternatives out there. Lalique pour homme, TdH and Dunhill Icon are much better choices for example. Good thing both are cheap so not much damage done. Do not blind buy!

Old old school. Not for me.
I heard someone describe it as "beautiful" and "delicious" on fragrantica... wild. Those dudes must be chugging gasoline and burping formaldehyde. This is like getting your haircut in 30 degree heat from a greasy balding guy. Trust me, women don't like this. They either tolerate it or run from it... probably the same way they deal with greasy balding guys.

Not my favorite.
I have not been to Havana, Cuba. However, I don't think this fragrance would invoke that city. Honestly, there is some note in there that is kind of soapy/herbal/sour that I don't care for. Similar to a very loud hotel soap. The note seems to drown out any tobacco. These are just my initial impressions. This was a blind buy, I was definitely expecting something else warmer.

Beautiful masculine fresh dry tobbaco smell. For all of us who are fed up with tobacco scent to be accompanied by what seems to a compulsory sweet vanilla note, this fragrance represents the tobacco in its untamed, manly, slightly bitter form

I have been searching for Havana since the early 1990's, ever since I smelled the fragrance from a sample inside of Playboy Magazine, ha ha, funny I know, but true. I tried to find it locally for years to no avail. I was very happy to find it here on Fragrance X. It really is a nice scent and the girls do love it !!!!

Scent Memory Surprise
Just had a big "scent memory" moment with Havana that I would like to share : ). I've been using Havana for a couple of weeks now and it has had a familiarity that I just couldn't pinpoint until now. Have you noticed all of the posts on this scent referring to a soapy dry down smell . . . ever used Dial Gold soap? If you have and still have a bar, spray a wrist with Havana and give it a few minutes to dry down and then sniff it and then the gold Dial. Pretty close, huh?! Loved Dial Gold while growing up and in my opinion, there is no cleaner, longer lasting "old school" smelling soap and Aramis Havana shares the same scent profile, but even smells twice as good as the soap because it must use higher quality ingredients. Now I can spray on a higher quality version onto my skin anytime and get that same spicy soap freshness! I think it's notes of cinnamon, patchouli, orange, oakmoss, and vetiver that are most responsible for the smell. I am definitely going to get a lot of use from Havana and what a bargain it is! Very addictive aroma
I thought Havana would be a strong tobacco fragrance, but it's only a part of a medley of sensual scents. Another oldie but goodie from Aramis. It's a wonderful aroma that will stay with you all day and night.

Just as I remembered it.
I firstly smelled this fragrance back in '96 inside a magazine sample. It was powerful and unique. Since that moment I was compelled to have this perfume when I would be more mature. Time passed by and never forgot about that. Therefore I bought it as a gift for my birthday 3 weeks ago. I was thrilled to affirm that it smelled the same, although a little less intense than the blue bottle - now discontinued, when I received the packaging. I would recommend it to anyone who is after an original and touching scent. My only complain is that it is not that strong. Although I only wear it for a week now.

My husband used to wear this aftershave about 20 or 30 years ago and it is discontinued in the U.K. So I managed to find some on your website and bought it for him for Christmas. He was a bit pleased! He said it was the best present he has ever had,,apart from the Banana Splits DVD I also bought him!

I have loved this deep sexy scent from Aramis since it first hit my nose from a magazine sampler. It's not a sissy scent like Cool Water or Curve. It's a masculine scent from its tobacco, leather and sandalwood bottom notes, but the citrus, coriander and tangerine top notes really show a sensitive side in a man who wears this. The middle notes hint of jasmine, cedar and vanilla creating a mysterious curiosity in the woman who smells this, urging her to want to know you more.One spritz should be enough for a work environment while wearing a dark power suit but I would say this is best meant for a night walking the Miami beaches or in a sultry night club in Panama City.This is a very strong, sexy cologne so don't overdo it. Some might say this is an older man's cologne so if you have a little gray, then a spray of this on the major hot spots will definitely add an edge and an air of mystique. But a man in his twenties can definitely separate himself from all the boys in the crowds wearing the Aqua di Gio and Cool Water. This will definitely be appreciated by the more sophisticated women.It is still discontinued (due to the late 90's "sensitive man" phenomena) so it is pricey. It is currently running around [$] for a 1oz. bottle. But I have seen quarter ounce samplers for around [$]. Go ahead and spend the few bucks just to have a spray and see for yourself what kind of women you will attract. No little girls here, real women.
