Lovely blind buy
What a nice surprise. I read the notes and thought for the price, I could give it a whirl. It starts out almost aggressively citrus, but very quickly dries down to a lovely floral, citrus, warm scent that makes me feel quite lovely. There is a powdery undertone and usually I'm not a fan of powder, but 4711 becomes more warm and spicy as it wears. This does not last long, so I tend to spray my hair, pulse points, and clothing to get the scent to linger longer.

Clean and Cool
This is my all time favorite cologne - been using it for over 60 years. It's fresh, light and clean with a slight citrusy base. It's not really fruity. It does last all day in that a hint of the light, clean scent is still there at the end of the day. I often use this as a base and put essential oil scents on over it. The combination enhances both. I can't think of a better summer fresher, but it's good any time of the year.

Sent is lovely but not long lasting at all
Fresh and citrusy sent, I love the sent but it barely stays on you. after an hr or so of wearing the perfume you will have to top it off again. Unless you like very subtle and light perfume I do not recommend this.

I love 4711 Cologne! While it does not tend to last very long, one can apply it several times a day - morning, refreshing in afternoon, or going out for evening. And you never overpower your close contacts with your choice of scent - an absolute no-no today when so many of us are working in close contact with others. Having worked in a close environment with others in a hospital setting, I appreciate the non overpowering scent so much more. It is a wonderful option to the heavier scents!

Bought as a blind buy....never again. This is not for me, smelled strong but that " old" style cologne smell. Did not like the fact it was in a huge bottle that you " splash" on. I knew then it was not a scent I would like. I will stick with the ones I know that are for me. It is a beautiful bottle for presentation, but, that is all.
