WOODY FRAGRANCE
Guerlain usually has good perfumes that lasts. Vetivar has a distinct woody, cedarwood, peppery scent that lasts for a few hours and smells nice on clothes the next day. Not suitable who likes sweet floral perfumes. It's the opposite to that. Its a unisex fragrance for WOMEN as well as men too. Suitable through the day.

Good quality at a great price
Guerlain is a great fragrance house that has been around for a long time and used by many. I got this bottle for a great price and was curious so I bought it. Its long lasting and good quality. However, I did not love it simply because it was a little bit too mature smelling for me. Its an old school fragrance from a historic brand. Shipping also came pretty quick which I was happy about.

I love Vetiver by Guerlain but What I didn't like was the way the bottle arrived. It did not come in the box and there was no cover for the sprayer. I was very disappointed with this presentation because the two I bought were gifts. I would recommend this fragrance to anybody but not this company who sells it in this way.

Smells incredible and great value!
This smells soapy and herbal at the same time. If you ever wonder what vetiver smells like, it's like a herbal as in ointment normally use to relief muscleache but it's very subtle. The drydown is perfect (less herbal) and the smell still lingers around after few hours. Bought this because many good reviews and didn't disappoint me. Honestly it's not for everyone so I gave this to my dad because this suits him more than me.

I have great souvenirs off this tragrance
I think that for a perfume mamel Vetiver the smell of vetiver is not so strong, but it's fresh and clean so I will use it until the bottle is emty, bur nex time I look for Vetiver smell I will try another one more expensive and ma by I will find the smell I am looking for.

Not what it used to be. Now the strength of this re-formulated scent is less than an EDT. A shadow of its former self. Might pass as an aftershave.

I recently reviewed this fragrance and would like to add something to it. I'd only worn this fragrance once or twice and didn't feel there was an element of freshness to it. Having worn it the other day my opinion has changed. There's very much a freshness to it especially in the opening! It's really quite wonderful 🙂

A really lovely fragrance. The bottle is beautiful, very simple and elegant. It's a woody/earthy type of vetiver so if you're looking for a freshie this wouldn't be it. I really like it! Performance is very good! It's not a loud fragrance but it still projects well. Longevity is very good at least on my skin. Two to three sprays and it lasts for most of the day which is good! A great fragrance at a very reasonable price. Very pleased indeed!

My old, lovely Vetiver is in my hands again!
There are perfumes which always stay on the first line and this simple, spicy and very tasty piece of fresh bitterness can surprise again and again. This one you wish to smell again and again, never annoying, never "too heavy". Definitely a must in your collection. The real cologne of its best.

A Proven Classic
I bought this without trying it, based just on the description of the scent. The top note is a clean and slightly spicy soap scent which settles into a middle note composed of both freshly crushed forest leaves, moss and ozone. The bottom note, arriving after some minutes, is a fresh oily scent of lemon, wet forest floor just after a rain and leather.

Extreme disappointment
I bought the tester as it was a good price - that was my big mistake. I have bought a few fragrances from FragranceX now but none have been such a disappointment. Even if you administer it countless times to your body and t-shirt the smell is gone within minutes. It's almost as if the smell has evaporated( it arrived without a top/cover ) - such a nice smell but oh what a waste.

Why choose this Vetiver-Guerlain among the many other French fragrances that have a veritable monopoly over the international fragrance industry (including Guccci and Armani fragrances which are owned by French conglomerates)? Because it's a a classic scent that has withstood the test of time. Whether you're vacationing in Paris or walking the streets of NYC, Guerlain has weathered every storm and newcomers over the years and is still rock solid. This classic scent is fresh and strong, yet not overpowering. Projects very well for up to 6-7 hrs. and I have received TONS of compliments at work and casually. I work in a slightly stuffy banking office (finance) in NYC and this brand often gets me compliments as 'classic' and 'nice scent'. More geared to the white collar crowd and not so much the 20-something/hairless clubbing crowd, this is great to wear at the office or in jeans on a cool night out with friends and family. More easy to wear in the cooler months, this Guerlain take on vetiver is refreshing and yet has some woodsy notes that appear in the dry down. Its a nice scent . A good combo of notes but It's too weak . As if, it's been watered down to the extreme. After a few minutes. It's gone leaving behind a hint of scent. Waste of money. It's a shame really. If it were 3 to 5 times stronger, it would be a winner.

Introductory vetiver
This fragrance is a good way to be acquainted with a vetiver based perfume. At first, it can be offputting with the earthiness of vetiver but it gets easier on the 30 minute mark. I wouldnt call it harsh opening but it can be a challenge to endure if youre not into woody/earthy scents. Then the tobacco and other notes comes into play which makes it a very good fragrance. Can be a daily scent even for the office which will make it a signature scent. Survive the heavy vetiver opening and youll be rewarded with a good scent.

being a relative noob to fragrances, i was taken aback at first sniff. but, then... from then on, it grew on me immensely! this is a safe, very gentlemanly fragrance. i am even tempted to wear this at whenever i'm at home relaxing. this is definitely backup bottle worthy!

Classic and sophisticated
This is a great fragrance that might take a little getting used to; it's not like modern fragrances, but that is a good thing if you want something a little different.
