One of my ole time favorite perfumes!
I can say that I have used this scent for over 20 years! Used to purchase at the "Company Store" outlets when I lived in NYC BUT NOW... It's become so expensive and really exclusive. When I do find it at a good price I have to get several bottles (or sets) because I don't know when I'll find it again. It is one of my favorite summer scents and My husband just loves it on me!

When Calyx came out in the market, I was in Marshall Field's Chicago. I was only 18 years old and browsing through the new Prescriptives cosmetics brand and I remember always searching for that unique scent which not many women would wear. After spraying Calyx on me, I felt an immediate rejuvenation and bought it on the spot! It wasnt well known then-I must have been one of the first women who purchased a bottle of Calyx! The first time I wore it, I got strange reactions because the scent was so original back then, nothing like it, and women were so used to wearing sweeter perfumes and each time they'd smell Calyx on me, they would say how strange it smelled! Imagine how used to ordinary, common fragrances these women were! Within a year (yes, it took some time to be appreciated), Calyx started gaining recognition. In 1987, I went for a summer vacation to the Greek Islands and wore it...you should see the comments I received then! Many women would ask me what I was wearing and wanted to know where they could get Calyx and loved it when I'd say to them that it was only available in America! I am very happy Clinique brought it back. Today I'm 52 and I wear Calyx reminding me of the best years of my life...Scent and memories are so deeply connected..

wonderful fragrance
This is a wonderful fragrance that seems to fill my closet,and is definitely a signature fragrance.The cream goes rancid within 6-8 months,so I use the toilette water.

I will definitely buy this fragrance again!
I use an organic body butter (unscented)and spray Calyx over the area I applied the body butter. This seems to hold the fragrance longer. I use Calyx everyday, anytime!it is the only fragrance that does not turn sour and does not give me headaches. Otherwise, I use organic essential oils for fragrance. Calyx has an uplifting, fresh. Revitalizing scent. Use it in afternoon for pick me up!

Without a doubt, Calyx is my favorite...
To be it's like a lemon/lime with a touch of floral. The lemon/lime smells citrusy fresh but there's also a slight floral scent. It's not overpowering and yet other people will notice and always ask, what are you wearing. I put in on every morning but if I'm going out later in the day or evening I reapply. It's a little expensive for my pocket book so I watch for discounts, sales and specials throughout the year.

Not the same as the original
I had been looking forward to receiving my bottle of Clinique Calyx but was disappointed when it did arrive. I had expected it to be the same quality and fragrance as before when I had purchased it under the label Calyx by Prescriptives. The initial first hit smells just like the original but then quickly loses the flowery/fruity notes leaving just a green herbal fragrance that doesn't hold anyway. I'm sure anyone else that had been expecting the same fragrance as the very beautiful and exotic original would have been disappointed and I definitely won't be recommending anyone else purchase it.

The perfect scent
I'm so happy to see that Clinique has started to make Calyx since Perscriptves has gone out of business. I've been wearing Calyx for over 20 years and I'm constantly getting told that I smell great. From friends to grocery clerks, no matter who it is, if they smell the scent on me, they stop me and tell me how great I smell. I will always wear Calyx.
