Absolu Perfume by Rochas, Absolu from Rochas is a tantalizing fragrance for the most sumptuous of occasions. As a rich and sensuous update on a classic oriental scent, this perfume combines balsamic accords with a woodsy, floral core. The fragrance opens with top notes of fig leaves and tangerine, coupling a milky sweetness with a tangy citrus bite. Then come the delicate middle notes, floral flutters of lily, neroli, and rose, all evened out with a soft dash of black pepper. The thick, unctuous notes of incense and benzoin comprise the base, sweetened with the sticky sap of cedar and toluene balm.

The scent’s opening intrigue, middle warmth, and heavy finish linger just the right amount of time without overstaying their welcome. An average sillage means the scent is strong enough to make its presence known but won’t steal the show. Rochas’ Absolu was originally crafted in 2002 by French perfumer Jacques Cavallier and has been luxuriating on pulse points ever since. All products are original, authentic name brands. Sample scent hardly perceptible [...]

Initial burst of fragrance seemed unpleasant but almost immediately settled to a pleasant, soft, powdery smell. Certainly did not last long enough to elicit comments.

Lovely

Very pretty...balsamic and sweet, with the middle and end notes even prettier. I would have made this my signature day scent if it wasn't discontinued. Am hoping that FragranceX will receive another batch of this from out of the blue.

Absolu by Rochas

I have used Mystere by Rochas in the past. I love and miss that fragrance very much. I think Absolu is absolutely the next best fragrance to Mystere.

Warmth in a bottle - Absolu

This is my favorite scent for cold autumn and winter days when there's a need of warmth and cozy sweater. Rochas Absolu has everything I adore: softness of woods, perfection of spices, it is long lasting and exceptional. I recommend to use Absolu whenever there's a need of warmth.
