About Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent History and background of Yves Saint Laurent. Born in 1936, Yves Saint Laurent grew up in Oran, Algeria. At 17, he left for Paris where he showed his drawings to Michel de Brunhoff, director of Vogue, who published several of them immediately. Following a stint at fashion school, Saint Laurent was introduced to Christian Dior by de Brunhoff and he went on to work for Dior until his death in 1957. Read more about Yves Saint Laurent

Opium is one of those rare signature fragrances that draws pleasant comments. I rarely wear it without receiving at least one positive reaction from someone who knows and loves it or is intrigued by the rich amber-like aroma.

I wear Opium on an almost daily basis. It not only stimulates my senses but contibutes to a personal sense of well-being. Our sense of smell is tied to the long-term memory area of the brain in ways that process emotions, cognition and memory-storage and retrival. Using Opium is part of my personal identity and reinforces positive feelings of self-esteem.

At least twice a year, I try to purchase the large container (3.3 oz) spray, and look for combination values, such as adding the smaller size of parfum to use for special occasions. I find the high quality and enduring scent of Opium some of the reasons I continue to be drawn to this parfum.

I am 60 yrs old, and though not blessed with striking beauty, I find joy and pleasure in using this exotic perfume. I would recommend its rich qaulity and character to any woman seeking a signature sensual aroma.

Opium has a new distinctive and exquisitely designed shape for its bottle in the 3.3 oz size. It is an attractive addition to my dresser accroutrements.

        I love Opium just as much today as when it made its debut. I love the heavy, smoky, incense fragrances, and Opium is just that. It has been a perfume staple for me. I like to wear it as a winter scent. One if the best for a fancy evening occasion.

            This has always been a favourite of mine,it seems to work well with my pheromones.Always get lots of compliments and the price is comprable if not better than when I picked it up at duty free.I find that it isn,t overly strong.I use it for work and when I go out.
