Sorry, can't be objective on this one! I have been wearing this classic, elegant fragrance for 30+ years. When I was in my 20's, while on vacation, I attended a dinner party where one of the women (who could afford to wear anything) was wearing this perfume (a gift from her husband for no particular reason). When I walked by her, I was attracted to the scent immediately. I asked her what she was wearing, purchased immediately (despite the price and my income level at the time), and have been wearing since. Regardless of whether or not I get compliments, I derive much pleasure from wearing the perfume which is what counts the most!

After reading all the good comments on BAV, i decided to order it and i received it this morning. I can say i am a bit disappointed actually. I think that it's more a "men fragnance". I know that Michael Jackson had used it for over 30 years. I don't think that it's very feminine, it's very bitter, smells like cinnamon. I hope i can like it more during upcoming winter. I want to love this perfume but it's smells soo manly to me. Also it's very unique and there's no other perfume that i can compare to it and i love the classic bottle.
