Jean Louis Scherrer started his career as a classical ballet dancer. He went into couture after a back injury, taking the finesse and craftsmanship of ballet with him. In his earlier years, he worked as Christian Dior’s assistant and then as Yves Saint Laurent’s assistant after Dior's passing. For over twenty years, he was in charge of dressing some of the most prestigious women in the world, including Sophia Loren and the Kennedys. All products are original, authentic name brands. My all time favorite
Have used this since it came out…it is my signature scent. Spray it in your hair- when you get in the shower- smells just like when you put it on in the morning.

Liked the II from JLScherrer.. I gave my review based on the EDT.. as I will try to find the EDP 'cause the smell of the EDT gave me a hint or a preview of EDP.

Very classic, very beautiful
Some encyclopedia fragrances describe this perfume as a floral aldehyde fragrance for women. Really. But that's not all. This fragrance is similar to magnificent frame. He decorates, puts finishing accents and completes evening dress. Refined warm classic aroma at the same time is soft, incredible sensual and don't press on wearer. In the same manner as the perfect dress or suit. Sweet but not too sweet, with an appreciable honey note, with exciting floral bouquet at start. With light fragrant powder at heart. With fancy and seductive base. Reminiscent of the autumn, its smells and colors. Aldehydes in this fragrance is very soft, maybe the softest among all parfumes I know. But in general it is a thing of this kind, which can not be divided into components. Just want to smell it. That kind of classics that are not inconvenienced and not binding. But gives a wings.

Wouldn't be without this lovely fragranc
I sent away for a sample of this perfume about 2 years ago and, after wearing it on a few occasions, I found myself liking it more and more. I wear it mostly during the daytime but am happy to wear it day or night! This perfume is now one of my two most favourite perfumes and one which I will continue to use for many years. It just goes to show that sampling a new perfume, especially over a period of time, is invaluable in finding out how it changes in relation to its wearer. This fragrance and I have a lovely relationship! I would recommend Scherrer II to a friend, as long as we lived in different countries(!) as I like to think it's for me only!

Beautiful scent from the past
I had a miniature of this as a child, given to me by my mother who obviously didn't approve of it. I had forgotten all about it until I re-discovered it again at Fragrancex, now it's love all over again... A very classy scent. Warm, spicy floral-oriental, somewhat in the same family as Coco Chanel, but with a beauty all of its own. Such a shame it's discontinued, it's a lovely choice for the cold season.

strong smell
It is good fragrance but too strong and seems to me like an oldfashion smell from grandmother closet. I could wear it from time to time but definetly not every day. I bought only a sample, which almost overflew by the transport. I can recommand for ladies, which adore sweet oriental smells

Wow!
I wasn't sure about this fragrance at first, then I wore it more often and discovered that it was really growing on me! Each time I wear it I notice different aspects of it. It's a 'grown up' fragrance with a feisty side to it. It will probably become one of my very few favourite perfumes; one that I won't recommend to too many people because I'll want it to be mine!!

J-L S II is the best fragrance ever.
I work in the top end of the fragrance industry, yet I have never had a fragrance as good as this. I have been using it since the mid 1980's & sadly it is now almost impossible to buy. I get so many positive comments when wearing it; in particular from men.

Classic and rich
This is a surprisingly rich and creamy, classic and special. At the beginning is a little strong but the middle and base notes are very feminine! Recommended!

Winter perfume
It is a lovely, late autumn/winter perfume. It can be very strong and overpowering, so one spray goes a long way. This perfume opens up slowly and beautifully, it smells wonderfully after a couple of hours.

Floral Aldehyde
If you like Coco Chanel, you'll like this one too, as I found they are very similar. The advantage with Scherrer 2 is that is far more affordable than Coco Chanel. Good perfume though, regardless of the similarity with Chanel.
