Birmane Perfume by Van Cleef & Arpels, Birmane by Van Cleef & Arpels came on the market in 1999. It is a sharp, flowery and feminine scent suited for casual wear. Citric top notes of bergamot, pineapple and lemon blend with the light and rosy note of rosewood for a juicy and sweet bouquet. Another top note that adds sheen and freshness to the perfume is freesia, which is known for being intensely peppery yet refreshing. The top notes meld with the middle floral notes of rose, orchid, iris and heliotrope. With heliotrope, there is a vanillic and almond aroma that brings comfort and relaxation. The base notes of vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and musk add to the exotic blend of scents.

The talented nose behind Birmane by Van Cleef & Arpels is Richard Herpin. He grew up near the perfume industry in southern France. Mentored by master perfumer Pierra Bourdon, Herpin learned to dig down straight to the essence of a fragrance. He finds perfumes to be “like jazz” because no fragrance wears the same way on different people. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

LOVE,LOVE,LOVE IT

I use this on a daily basis when I can get it. not a day goes by when I do not get a comment. My daughter took mine and she also now uses it and gets compliments each time she wears it. It is for all ages.

I will always buy this product

What I love about Birmane, besides it lovely light fragrance, is that it is now impossible to find in retail markets. I discovered it when I received it as a sample when purchasing "First" by Van Cleef and Arpels in a famous high end department store. It seems that Van Cleef created it just for that store. Since they no longer carry it, I have to buy it on line. That means I am the only person in my social circle wearing it. So, it has truly become my "signature fragrance". I love getting compliments on it and being asked what it is. I feel that those fragrances that are easily recognizable on different people lack subtilty...as do those wearing them! I would recommend this to anyone who wants to smell great, but not like everybody else!

Superb for every ocassion

This is really nice fragrance, subtle and flowery at the beginning, but later it's very interesting. Birmane seems to be easy and boring at first sight, but it realy isn't: very harmonious fragrance, you can use it anywhere, anytime.

Such a lovely soft perfume

I love this perfume and it is such a shame that it is getting so hard to obtain. It is a plus that it is not so well known as I don't like smelling like everyone else.
