Challenge Cologne by Puma, Launched in 1998, Challenge is a men’s cologne with an aromatic main accord. It opens with top notes of juniper berries and bergamot, leading into middle notes of green apples and pineapples. At the bottom are base notes of sandalwood and cedar. It was developed in conjunction with 4711 Mulhens Parfum, the family company known for creating the original German 4711 eau de cologne.

Puma is a German brand known for its athletic footwear, apparel, and accessories. Founded by Rudolf Dassler in 1948, the company was created after a split with brother Adolf Dassler, who founded Adidas in the same year. Both companies are based in Herzogenaurach, Germany. The brand’s fragrances were initially created in association with 4711 Mulhens Parfum, which was first acquired by Wella in 1994, which then became one of Procter & Gamble’s brands in 2003.
