About Yves Saint Laurent

Yves Saint Laurent History and background of Yves Saint Laurent. Born in 1936, Yves Saint Laurent grew up in Oran, Algeria. At 17, he left for Paris where he showed his drawings to Michel de Brunhoff, director of Vogue, who published several of them immediately. This 70s/80s classic really deserves more praise. It is not as fresh as some of the current popular summer fragrances, but it holds its own with its huge longevity. It starts out with a great lemon note, but quickly mellows allowing the herbs and vetiver to really shine. When I wear this, the herbal base gives me confidence and strength like nothing else. Don't overdue this one, 2-3 sprays is all you need. (This review is for the original pour Homme, not the Haute Concentration version)
