English Leather Lime Cologne by Dana, English Leather Lime is an updated version of the classic by the perfume house Dana. The new formulation is based on the 1960’s original, but has a livelier, sportier edge to it.
This fragrance opens with a burst of citrus and bergamot, followed closely by a soft leather that holds for the duration of the fragrance. Cedar notes round out English Leather Lime’s finish, giving it more staying power and maturity. This is a lively, clean fragrance that doesn’t forget its roots. The leather is more of a background fragrance than the start of the show.
For anyone looking for a clean, masculine scent that’s not too floral, this is a great choice.
Dana was established in Spain but relocated to the United States during the German occupation of France. They have since purchased a variety of traditional fragrances and re-released them with a modern twist that appeals to young and old alike. All products are original, authentic name brands. I used English Leather Lime Cologne regularly back in the 70's and recently started using it again. This formula is good (and nostalgic) but it is not the original forumlation. The lime is toned down considerably (maybe even a little bit musky-ish). That said - it is still the best lime cologne I've been able to find and I still use it myself. Its great to put on after my morning workout.
