    This is part of the Caron holy trinity, along with Yatagan and Le troisieme Homme.

    On one side of the trinity we have Yatagan. It is a very strong, masculine powerhouse and cannot be described, it has to be experienced. It is my favorite Caron for it's sheer weirdness

    On the other side there's Pour un Homme. Starts out pretty strong on the lavender, but quickly dries down with a sweet vanilla scent. Average longlivety and projection, the Lavendernote is very well done though.

    Le troisieme Homme sits comfortably in the middle. Combines the strong masculininty of Yatagan with the sweetness of Pour un Homme. The most wearable of the three.

    All these three fragrances are very well made and they are really inexpensive for the quality offered.

      This is an absolute classic which dates back from the 20ies of last century, provided that i am not wrong. I loved it the first time i bought it, a love that has been lasting for more than 35 years.
      As with any great or not so great fragrance; remember, don't use it too often otherwise you get "smellblind". No joke!

        I think my ho-hum feeling about this fragrance has to do with my chemistry or just wierd feelings about my grandmother. I just wasn't getting any other herbal notes than the lavender, which is really powdery until it dries down after a bit. Would be nice in summer.....just not for me.
