New Formulation Has No Oakmoss
Z-14 used to be intoxicating to women. Unfortunately, ever since the reformulation that excludes the critical ingredient (Oakmoss)—contrary to this site's incorrect list of Z-14's current ingredients—the product has lost its allure. What a shame. All that the colognes and perfumes that once included Oakmoss really needed was a warning label stating that fewer than 1% of users might have a mild allergic reaction to the ingredient!

Using the same name but definitely smells different now
It definitely doesn't smell the same as the original Z-14 that I used since the late 70s. Still have half a bottle of 2 FL OZ with me that I compared with.

I have been using this product for years!
I use it daily after my shower. I spray it on the side of my neck, chest and back, and on my shirt collar. I do a lot of physical activity, so I sweat a lot. This cologne helps me in dealing with coworkers.

My comment is I've believe that I got to 8 oz spay bottle, it's not the vintage, or original z14, and I whare it, but it's more cinnamon sent is just not the original, I know they removed the oak moss and as far as my experience with this cologne, if your company has the original I would buy it by the case, you see I'm 63 and I went years without even wearing anything, I know when the pulled oak moss out of the original formula, because they said it caused skin rash or some type of skin irritation, I've never ever had any reaction to this cologne, I wish that whoever owns the Haston label would fine a way to reuse the original formula I would buy as much as I could fit in my closet lol, thanks

I wondered how this could be so cheap. I always thought that Halston was sort of stylish so I figured they wouldn't put his name on something unless it followed pattern. This stuff smells like I bought it out of a machine at a truck stop. Not a favorite.

Have always loved this cologne.
I used this cologne almost exclusively when I was in high school. Of course I tried others but was always drawn back to this one. So glad it is still available. I will be keeping a bottle on hand for as long as it's around.

Smells like a fall candle
All I could make out of this was the strong smell of cinnamon. Definitely not for me. I wanted to give it a shot but this was not a good blind buy, maybe I am too young to appreciate this stuff. Projection is great, and you get a lot for your money. So if a super spicy cologne is your thing, you will love this stuff.

"If I were a rich man......"
... Even if I were a rich man, I would still wear this cologne! I guess I am giving my age away, but I first wore this cologne in 1978! Still in high school, playing on the soccer team and during an away state championship match, my cologne, one given to me by an Aunt and from "Avon"®️... named "wild country"®️ (lol) had broken in my toiletries bag, giving a good soaking to everything in that bag!! Albeit, by the time I got to that bag after the game, it had almost completely evaporated!! My "specialty coach," ( I was a goalie ) a college student, he kinda laughed at my situation, yet understanding the need to "smell good" after a shower, he gave me his. And with a big smile He said, "here champ, try this, and step your......😉 other game up a notch or two!" It was "Halston Z-14"®️... and "WOW," I had already put some "shower to shower"®️ powder on, but paired with this "Halston Z-14"®️...... OIIIYYYY!! Well for the most part the "shower to shower"®️ powder has kinda gone away, but to this very day, matter of fact, as I am writing this review, I am STILL WEARING my beloved "Halston Z-14!"®️ I have, since first wearing that Z-14, what I call a "designer cologne," become a bit of a "cologne connoisseur," having a massed so many throughout the years, about 84 different "flavors" if you will, I do have!! However, the cologne that I have to replace the most often, hands down... is my "Halston Z-14!"®️ 😁 .... Indeed!!

Macho Cinnamon
The bottle that came was a splash, and a dab to the wrists and ears seems about the appropriate dose for this frag. It's a strong, close fougere, and it does its job well indeed. It opens with rush of cinnamon, orange, and leather, which becomes full, agreeable musk on the drydown. The lavender lurks in behind and below, adding a tiny bit of bitterness. Factoring in the way Halston frags have shifted from high glam to the gold-standard of cheapies, the vibe on Z-14 is less 70s sleaze than finding one of those big-lapelled 70s stakeout coats in a leather warehouse's discount section. It's actually surprising how close it keeps, considering how it's associated with chain-smoking snowbirds in riotous disco parties. 1-12, this frag's mysterious green-hued brother, has pronounced rotten and soapy notes; this has neither. Z-14 isn't clean, per se, but it is very cohesive, and consistently pleasant. It's a decent compliment-getter, and it sticks around long enough to be a well-rounded pick for an evening out.

Husband Will ONLY Wear This Fragrance!
My husband LOVES this fragrance. I like it, but I like A LOT of fragrances and will purchase a variety of fragrances for him, but he keeps going back to this one. He LOVES it!! He's sensitive to some smells and his nose will become stuffy. This one doesn't do it.

It doesn't give any protection. Was poorly designed and looked cheap. It rattled when I shaked it. That was strange. Scent was weak and couldn't be smelled. No aroma. Needs to be antiperspirant deodorant.
