This was definitely a great experience - especially considering that a local "discount" perfume shop wanted almost $85.00 for the same thing. The owner even talked about how little mark-up they were making on the sale. Yeah, right. I can almost purchase 2 bottles for what she wanted to charge me. Certain things in life do not need the hard sell, their worth speaks for itself - the Lourve, Chopin, the QE2, the Orient Express, Oslo in the rain, Ireland, the Met - this cologne is of that brand. I couldn't help but notice the number of good reviews for this cologne on various websites. I was hesitant to buy it because of the price, but my curiousity edged me on. It is a wonderful scent. Subtle, fresh, a little complex. The dry-down is undeniably powdery. I've never had this cologne before, yet the dry-down gave me a nostalgic smell that I just couldn't put my finger on. One day I had it on driving to work, and suddenly it hit me! This smells like the carpet fresh my mom use to buy in 1980's when I was a kid. I laughed to myself, slightly embarrassed because I have to admit I still like this cologne. It doesn't smell poulperious, but you can't deny that it
smells like that powder you use to sprinkle on your carpet before you
vacuumed it. I might buy Minotaure again someday, but it won't be anytime soon at that price.
