Spicy Green Rose
Think of a freshly cut rose with its thick green stem, spinkled with dash of spice. It's like a morning walk in the garden. It's a lush clean green manly rose. My only complain is the delicate sprayer. Mine is damaged when it arrived.

Cartier does rose
Great flanker to the original Declaration. Beautiful rose note stays masculine thanks to the woody notes at the base. I personally think it's a spring and early summer fragrance.

Absolutely Brilliant Understated Rose and Pepper Combination
I watched many fragrance YouTube reviewers over the last three years, and everyone of them gushed over Cartier's Declaration d'Un Soir. I'm pleased to state "they were correct!" I finally purchased this fragrance and it's absolutely amazing!!!! The closest comparison to another fragrance would be Toy Boy. Cartier's is less screech and more class. Longevity is good too. I'm not going to go into the notes; as there are many other reviews that have done that already; and I give this fragrance a solid 10 / 10. I highly recommend! I never paid attention to the House of Cartier and now I'm paying attention!

sillage and longivity similar to distilled water
I read reviews on fragrantica and watched videos confirming that this product should have good longivity and sillage. However, when i used it i can hardly smell it! I have to bring my nose close to my skin to barely smell anything. Although the smell is very freah, clean and different from the noisy common sugary and pungent herbal fragrances, but the poor projection has disappointed me

NOT for most men IMHO despite what others say.
All I smell is rose, for a mature woman, but not for me.. Good value if you like the scent. Have no occasion to ware this. Will give it away. Id like to get a sample of regular declaration as this one performs great for the cost.

Fresh roses for men
This is definitely a man's scent from the opening towards the middle notes... the dry done becomes unisex which makes it more apealing to anyone. The rose in here leans on the fresh side, not your typical oriental roses. Anyone can pull this off even on summer days. Longevity and projection is above average on my skin.

Rose fragrance that a man should not be afraid to wear
When a man thinks rose theres a part of you that would not want to unless you are metrosexual or queer (nothing wrong there). But if you want to be able to pull off a floral scent and a rose based fragrance for that matter, this is your best bet. Its clean and inoffensive that its a good office fragrance. It can also be one for special occassions be it day or night. However, i may have to say that it would take a certain kind of man to pull this off. You have to be confident when you wear this fragrance as it shows you know yourself well enough that sporting a floral scent is something easy and normal for you. Just the right kind of guy can pull this off. If youre on the extreme side, either too laid back or too loud, i dont think youd do this justice. Mature, confident with a pleasing personality is the type of man i have in mind.

Could be a signature fragrance for some but I work at an outdoors retailer and spend a couple nights a week in pool bars. For me it's more of a special occasion fragrance. Nice performance.

When I wore this the frist time, I did not like the smell at all. The more I wore it, the more I started to like it, as the smell is really different to your standard blue fragrance. I can recommend it for a night out or general nighttime use.

Very unique but sits close to the skin
At first it's smells like a perfume. As it dries you get that spicy peppery rose blend everyone likes. It's unique. For the price very good. But I'm not blown away like some are. It also sits close to the skin on me.

Way too "obtrusive".
Don't be fooled by the Cartier branding. This cologne is long lasting, but a few seconds after I tried the sample I was sorry I put it on. It is overpowering and not very pleasant. When I got to work I tried to wash as much of it off as possible, but it "sticks with you" regardless.
