Kl Cologne by Karl Lagerfeld, Kl for men was released in 1986, and is a timeless, spicy oriental fragrance. Citrusy top notes of orange, bergamot, lemon, and Brazilian rosewood rise above.
Middle notes of cinnamon, carnation, sandalwood, rose, geranium, patchouli, and jasmine rest on the strong base notes of benzoin, amber, musk, civet, and vanilla. This classic, refined scent is long-lasting, leaves an impression, and is ideal for evening wear.
Elusive about his personal life, Karl Lagerfeld was born in Germany, possibly in the 1930’s, and started his fashion career with an apprenticeship at Pierre Balmain in 1955. He designed two haute couture collections for Jean Patou a few years later, and made a name for himself with his controversial designs. He took on the role at Chanel of creative director in 1983, and continues his work there to this day. He launched his first perfume in 1978 with his Lagerfeld Classic, a cologne for men, and currently collaborates with Tommy Hilfiger to produce more scents.
