I mostly use it during cool evenings, especially if I'm out for dinner or a party. This one isnt for everyone as some may feel it to be overpowering. I just love the smell of the woods, but it can get very sharp if you over spray. Go very less - 1 or 2 max on the skin.

Sublime social stratum in a bottle. Smells like pure, unadulterated, masculine class. Bois du Portugal is heads and shoulders away the most potent and aromatic Creed fragrance I've worn to date. Bois du Portugal is very long lasting without being overpowering, and the scent trail lingers for minutes. Bois du Portugal is a scent that's ideally suited for formal social settings and special occasions that requires dressing up. The Cedar is most prominent note, but the Lavender and creamy Sandalwood notes blend together to provide an exquisite, homogenized blend that lends Bois du Portugal it's unmistakable, and unforgettable aroma.

With Creed fragrances, the question is not whether a particular fragrance is good; there are only levels of greatness with all of their offerings...and Bois du Portugal is a GREAT fragrance. With virtually all fragrances, the initial impression can be quite different from the final result which is why you need to give any fragrance time to stabilize. After the obligatory 30 minute "cool down" period, this scent stabilizes and reveals its true character. Once that occurs, the characteristics of any great work of art become apparent; subtlety, originality and that sublime, nuanced stimulation of the sense of smell that we all look for...as well as the hope that, perhaps, we can use the characteristics of this fragrance to enhance our persona. The Creed site shows these to be the notes in the fragrance: Top note: Bergamot Middle note: Lavander Base notes: Cedar, Sandalwood from Mysore, Vetiver and Ambergris. I'm a newcomer to the art of fragrance and, at the risk of being obvious, it would seem that a great fragrance is an imaginative blend of different but complimentary elements to form a whole that is greater that the sum of the parts. That certainly takes place here and I'm very pleased with this distinctive, masculine fragrance.

Great value, classic scent
Great value! The tester came without a cap but packaged properly in the original tester packaging. Bottle was completely full as well and authentic (I did an authenticity test on the bottle and the product). This scent is strong but amazingly classic and brilliant. It definitely softens after about 15 mins and becomes a fantastic evening/special occasion scent for men. I am also 24 and love this fragrance. Only issue with the experience was the 10 day delay leaving the FragranceX warehouse but once DHL had it it arrived very quickly (6 days)

Very unique - strong and spicy
Very strong at first when testing but gradually transforms. This is more fitting for formal occassions but i still wear it casually. Again, shipping to Toronto, Canada was fast. Took 3 business days with tracking and packaging had safe bubble wrap, no damage to items. Box/bottle in great condition.

I'm a Creed customer of many (many) years and this cologne is my most favourite of all. It is an inspiring blend of scents and lasts all day. I will try other Creed fragrances, of course, but I may have found my signature with this one - highly recommended!!
