It was created by Ted Lapidus, a Parisian fashion designer who apprenticed under Christian Dior. He created his own brand in 1951 and launched his first fragrance in 1975. I have been using this product for years now but looks like quality is not like before. They have reduced quality. If you compare with years back I will have it for more days than today.

Pistachio Ice Cream
This had great ratings on Basenotes and Fragrantica so I bought it blind but this unfortunately is not for me. This isn't horrible, but to me it smells like pistachio ice cream (which is a smell I dislike). Sillage is good, maybe about 3+ ft. Longevity is astronomical, I sprayed it on a scent card and can still smell it 4 days later (still strong). The scent is pretty linear to me and it's fairly strong.

A standout from the crowd
A fresh scent that stands out from other orientals at its price, or anywhere else. An intial, safe, unoffensive can be heard from the soft and underpowering lavender and mint bound together by a confident pleasant vanilla note. Seemingly standard, yet a standout in that Tl Pour Lui exhibits the freshness and youth one would expect from its citrus while displaying a warmer, sweeter side from the vanillia. Good value for price

This scent smells delicious, I just wish it was a little stronger.. Maybe in warmer weather it projects more and last longer, I'll have to wait and see but as it is now it just seems too weak.. This would be in my top 4 if it was a little stronger.. The prices and shipping costs on this site are going up so much that it will be awhile before I can order anymore.. I've bought Dunhill Desire and Joop! from here but I've had to search elsewhere to find prices I can afford..

One of the warmest Lapidus!!
This one is one of warmest moderatly spicey colongnes I like. I tend to go with fresh and woody stuff and hate spicy ones but this one is moderate and it got a wonderful smell you can't say no to!! Little spicy in the very begining but after couple of miutes it will be wonderful..

The only one I LOVE !
I purchased this product initially on a cruise in the Grand Cayman in 2003. Love it and everyone I meet loves it. I ran out, searched, searched, and couldn't find it for seven years. Want to buy up what is left here............. SO HURRY before I do.

Its just unique and in its own world.
I wear it daily, That's how much I like Tl. It's in a class of it own. The best thing about it is that it is not common. Compliments guaranteed at all times. Even my wife steals it as she likes masculine fragrance. I just can't compliment this fragrance enough. When I am shopping for something new, I spray it on cloths and keep it for days to know how long its going to last for. Tl did past my test of time. Its great. Get it if you can find it.
