The Irony of a Cologne Review
Admittedly, and rather shamefacedly at that, I purchased a bottle of Roots By Coty for the most superficial of reasons--its curb appeal, or its visual aesthetic, or quite simply, the way the bottle looked. This was my first and decidedly last encounter with the fragrance. Like a cologne-bottle rube, I was attracted to the frosted glass bottle and brushed aluminum cap and spray nozzle. More specifically, I was attracted to how closely the visual aesthetic of Roots resembled that of CK One, another uni-scent fragrance I appreciate and regularly purchase on this site. Unfortunately, this is where the resemblance ends. Roots by Coty is a fragrance that does not appeal to me. This is not to say, in the slightest, that it is a "bad scent". Upon the initial spritz of Roots, the head notes are damp floral and citrus (or is that citronella?), followed by a middle note that I would describe as slightly "oceanic" and peppery. Overall, it is the type of light, fresh, mildly musky scent that one might associate with a warm summer evening. But as a uni-scent, I find it a bit overly feminine but I suspect that it's ethereal, overly delicate fragrance would be found quite appealing to some. So if anyone out there is interested, I have a nearly full bottle, minus 2 or 3 squirts, that I'll sell you for half price. I'm kidding, of course. Sort of. :/

Addictive, summer or all day
Love at first sniff... this is for sure my second best choice, and my first for all day everyday, especially in the summer. It is spicy but not overpowering yet leaves a fresh floral and long lasting impression. It does draw compliments and really makes you want to wear it all the time just to feel clean and sexy....

wore this stuff in highschool and love being able to buy it again. have bought this a couple times off this site so for and have no complaints. wife loves this smell. for the price and size of bottle its a wiked deal. most colognes dont come in this size for this price.

Was the perfect Christmas gift
My duaghter wore this fragrance as a teenager. Haven't been able to find it for many years. I came across it on this site strictly by accident. Thought it would be a terrific memory for her at Christmas this year. I am now the best Mom in the world!!!! She laughed, cried and wanted to know how in the world I had found it! Poor mixture
The product doesn't mix as a balm. The creamy portion comes out in a glob followed by the liquid portion. It's either been on the shelf to long or poorly designed.

In fact I have not received what I expected. Maybe because of the cold, maybe for some other reason, I received a product similar to the appearance sour milk, instead of after-shave balm. Well, the product is not expensive, so It's not so unfortunate.

I have ordered Roots Uniscent from FragranceX a few times. I love Roots Uniscent. I cannot even get this product anymore from the Roots company directly! However, every time I ordered from FragranceX, the caps on the bottles have been loose and the product has leaked. Sometimes very little, once half the bottle leaked! [...]
