This spicy, citrus-based scent was created by Pierre Balmain perfume brand. The brand began as a French fashion house but moved into fragrances in the 1940s. The founder of the brand passed away in 1982 but his legacy remains intact with many new fragrances being launched since. There are over 25 fragrances in the base for the company. Some of the perfumers who have worked with it include esteemed individuals such as Michel Almairac, Guillaume Flavigny, and Olivier Pescheux. All products are original, authentic name brands. Nice fresh smell
Monsieur Balmain Cologne smells very fresh. Kind of smells like Lemon Pledge when you first put it on. Not overpowering you need to be somewhat close to smell it. Nice scent for the price.

Subtle changes?
I may be mistaken, having not purchased Monsieur Balmain for a while, that the pungent lemon (which I enjoyed) seems to have a softer edge. It is a masculine scent, with no ties (thank goodness) to scents labelled "sport" or "musk." My chemistry does not respond well to the latter scents, because they inevitably turn soapy, anise-like, or worse, tobacco-like. While I consider it a summer scent, I use it all year long. Unfortunately, the bottle that was slim and frosted is now a sharp edged cube that I find heavy and clunky. But all that really matters is the cologne and it is my all-time favorite.

Our husband's year-time favourite !!
I have bought this for my husband for years and he loves it so much, he seldom use other fragrances now. Draws compliments from anybody, even from our very little niece. Monsieur Balmain has recently changed the bottle and package like other ladies Balmain scents (eg. Ivoire de Balmain, Vent Vert), so I wonder if the composition also changed. I hope not.

Lemons
I use this product as a room spray and fabric freshener. It is better than bounce for a laundry secnt ,, and is better than fabreeze as well for spraying on surfaces to give a fresh scent of lemon. Lemon it is...one note lemon...you cannot mistake it for anything else.,.it smells like lemon with captal letters. This is its weakness as a scent to wear...It lacks complexity or mystery...Its lemon...and just that and only that in abundence,

Oldie but Goodie
Monsieur Balmain is a classic fragrance with primarily citrus notes. It is good to wear everyday, and particularly outdoors, as insects shy away from citrus. It is not a very complex fragrance, and the sillage and longevity are just average. But if you like classic citrus scents this a good one.

I have used this cologne for over 35 years, it is my signature fragrance and I am constantly asked the name. I love the clean lemony smell and it is never overpowering. Keep up the fine work Monsieur Balmain!

Spring &summer scent
Is the fragance I use almost every day, mainly in summer. It´s fresh and every one at any age can use it. My wife sometimes takes some drops. Believe or not, it cannot be found in Spain or even in France. From years ago I have to buy by internet.

A SOLID 4 stars ONLY for the simple fact that the scent doesn't remain for a long enough time. That aside...there possibly can't be another frag out there as lemony fresh as this one gets!! When you first spray it on...WOW!!!!! SOOO.....great a smell...this is a keeper if you enjoy citrussy fragrances! Great value!! Likely more inclined to be worn in warmer climate conditions, but heck...this will likely brighten your day even on the cloudiest or coldest of days!!

This One's A Keeper
This is a classic from the 80s that I'd almost given up on seeing again - I used to call it he "Sherbert Lemon" and have been holding on to he last few mls in the ageing bottle I've been hanging on to. Then with the discovery of FragranceX I've been able to replace a couple of my old favourites that are unavailable in Australia This one's as good as it ever was and now thanks to FrX I'm splashing it on all the time Thanks John F West Aust

I Read abot it at a famous Fragrance portal and hence ordered it. It is no doubt a must have for all citrus lovers.Will make you feel wide awake and full of life once you apply it in the morning.Citrus and pure citrus is what you will notice in top, middle and base notes.Just has a hint of spices too.
