Claude Montana is a well-known French fashion designer who launched his self-named fashion design house in 1979. In 1986 the company launched its first fragrance for women, followed by a men’s fragrance in 1989. Today the design house has 30 fragrances in its collection, featuring collaborations with numerous renowned perfumers. The latest fragrance release was in 2016. The opener on this fragrance smells like pickle. Considering it comes in a green glass bottle its an interesting aesthetic choice. Even more strange the minute it dries down any hint of that vinegary gourmet is gone. Great woodsy patchouli notes in a very sturdy bouquet.

Great modern chypre
Here we have a very good modern woody masculine chypre. Inexpensive, good longevity, classy, a great value! Best suited for a 40+ man, in my humble opinion.

It's new to me
I was curious to smell this "old" fragrance. I rarely buy designer fragrances as they all smell the same, which to me is icky. This one is not distinctive enough that I would wear it.
