It was created by Bourjois, a French cosmetics and perfume company that was founded in 1863. The company is known for creating the first powder blush and they released their first fragrance in 1928. This perfume was not at all what I expected. A re-vamp of the original not in a good way. Like turning a perfect red rose to black with glitter and matching tulle. Not only that, the new version smells like a combination of Chloe Narcisse and Tresor. I'm really disappointed in this creation from Jacques Polge. The original Soir de Paris is the best.

Not Like the Original
I bought a bottle of Evening in Paris a few years ago from this site and finally used the last of it recently. This new bottle does not smell like the original one. I'm kinda disappointed. Probably won't buy again.

Beautiful old fashion fragrance
A perfume used by my mother since 1960 which still has a place in 2012 and is lovingly used by my daughter and I. 3 generations and still loving it.

Different than original Soir de Paris
I fondly remember the original Soir de Paris that my grandmother used. When I found the new one, I was thrilled. However, the new one is different. I personally wish that they hadn't updated it. The designers took out the lower notes. The new one is more floral and much less spicy.

Has always been my mum's and aunties favourite perfume along with panache. If you start stoking this item i would certainly buy some for them as cannot find it here.

a perfect present
I bought it for christmas and offered it to my mother because it reminds her of her childhood. When she received it she said that it was the same parfum as years an years ago, they didn't change the fragrance at all!That's a very good point!She wears it everyday and it smells really good (sorry for my english [I'm french], and I'm pretty sure that I wrote lots of mistakes).

product difficult to find
It was for a gift, I do not use the product. It is a very old and classic perfume, some person are attached to it. Not easy to get.

My Mother had a small bottle of this perfume in her dressing table draw, I can't remember her wearing it but as a small child I was facinated with this bottle and whenever I got the chance I sniffed it. This was in war time England and I would have been five of six years old at the time. Thanks for the memory.

spray it between your breasts
I love it but not untill after the bitterness of the bergamot has faded away, after 1,5 our. To let it stay longer I apply it between the breasts.

Loved it.
This is an old perfume. My mother used it when I was a little girl in the 50's. I used to beg her to put some on me when we where getting ready for church. Have been looking for it for many years. I found it somewhere else but for twice the price. Monda49

its great to get an old perfume
my mum used this when i was snall and i loved it its a beautiful perfume but could be a bit stronger i like a strong perfume to wearat evening but this suits my daughter as she loves a subtle perfume but it does bring memories back of my dear mum and i still love it ,its a very romantic perfume my husband liked it very much

Bought this perfume for my nan,she use to wear it years ago.she wasnt able to get it in the uk. Shes 87 now and says it took her back down memory lane.SHE WAS OVER THE MOON and says it hasn't altered one bit.perfect.
