Tropical Flower Perfume by Oscar De La Renta, Tropical Flower is a women’s floral fruity fragrance with white floral, fruity, sweet, tropical, and fresh main accords.
Presented in 2006, this scent starts with fruity head notes of passion fruit and melon, then leads to floral heart notes of frangipani, jasmine, and gardenia. Base notes of musk and raspberry end this arrangement. Ideal for summer day wear, this fragrance has sillage ranging from soft to moderate and longevity rated between poor
and weak.
Oscar De La Renta opened his own fashion house in 1965, taking over the Jane Derby brand after Derby’s death. The designer had received training from Spanish designers Cristobal Balenciaga and Antonio del Castillo before working for Lanvin. He left Europe for the United States in 1963 and worked for Elizabeth Arden for two years. The designer is known for both his ready-to-wear and haute couture designs. The brand launched its first fragrance in 1977. Inter Parfums acquired portions of the fragrance business in 2013 and handles the brand’s fragrance and cosmetics production and distribution.
