Lovely, citrus prominent Shalimar
I love the Grande Dame Shalimar in her own right but find most of the flankers charming. Eau de Shalimar is a citrus blast; fun and full of scent. Could easily be unisex. Lasts forever on skin and clothes. I routinely order from Fragrancex because of reliable products and very prompt shipping.

Another New Favourite
This is a new fragrance for me, I absolutely love it. My husband does too. It's so different from other perfumes I've bought and it definitely will be in my favourites list. I will be buying it again and again. Fragrancex, you make it so hard to choose from your extensive range, you are the best by far.

Elegant & sexy
It was the first time I bought on "fragrancex.com" and this Eau de Shalimar was a Tester for a very very good price and the quality is how I knew this Eau de Shalimar.I would recommend this shop, I mean it is a must for people who love perfum's but can't spend much for it.

An approachable masterpeace
Perfect fragrance to stay warm and cozy in winter! Always loved the dry down of a classic Shalimar, but couldn't stand the first notes, so I'm in love with his younger brother which got a bergamot-citrus start and the same vanilla drydown. Yum!

A lovely fragrance, but prefer the weight of Shalimar
I wear Shalimar as my signature fragrance and thought I might mix it up a bit. The perfume is powdery - going on citrus and ending with light vanilla. Though delicious to the nose, it just doesn't have enough bite for me.

A sparkling Shalimar!
A fresh shalimar, but where the classic is like an old cognac, this is fresh limonade! Nevertheless, the shalimar base is instantly reconoscible! good longevity and sillage!

My first encounter with Shalimar
This is delightful lightweight version of the classic Shalimar. Key notes - citrus, resin, powder. Very durable and soft flavor. Men always make compliments. I buy a second bottle because I like this fragrance very well!

Shalimar "lite"
A lighter variation on the theme of Shalimar. If you like the original Shalimar but sometimes find it to be too heavy or dramatic, you might like this. Lots of soft, powdery vanilla with a touch of lemon. It's less complex than Shalimar, so it's lighter and easier to wear. If you're fan of the original, you might find this version to be too stripped down. I like both, preferring this version for daytime use or when the weather is warm.

Lovely fragrance
A delicate fragrance is reminiscent of a hug, a silk dress, happy days. slightly powdery, but prevails in the vanilla and the beginning notes of lemon. a charm

This is NOT your regular Shalimar!
I was shocked to find that this is not the regular Shalimar fragrance! I don't really like it at all. BUT after buying four bottles that smell somewhat like Shalimar I am going to use them. This has an off note of fragrance not as sweet as regular Shalimar. Beware of Eau de Shalimar it is NOT the same as Shalimar and I DO know of what I speak-I've been wearing only Shalimar for 46 years!

Passing it On
We were three sister however my sister Trish died of leukima two years ago. My other sister and I always loved Trish's fragranced but she would not let us wear HER brand, lol. I purchased this for my other sister as a reminder of all the foolish antics the three of us used to get up to.

A classic
This is one of the lighter versions of the original Shalimar. It does not disappoint - on the contrary - the lighter version is just as good. The only negative is that it does not last very long, and frequent re-applications are required. Since the bottle is rather large, it cannot be easily carried in a handbag. I just love Shalimar and like to spray myself with it in the Summer heat where it still stands out in all its beauty. Since it lacks a bit in base notes foundation, I found a wonderful combination with another one of my favorites. Layering it on top of Bond No. 9 Nuits de NoHo makes a great blend as the two complement one another, the thick fruity pineapple scent as a foundation, and a generous halo of citrus top notes endowed Eau de Shalimar on top. Incredible! In the Winter a slight mist of Eau de Shalimar together with a cashmere sweater will make a classy statement. I never get tired of Shalimar.

The one you get is not this packaging
A disappointing oversight from this company, I ordered two of these because of the beautiful packaging (2009) but the ones I got are the 2008 edition in a very plain white box and the bottle doesn't have the flower. It's still a nice fragrance, very much like the original Shalimar but with top citrus notes enhanced. The photo should ALWAYS match the item being sold. The company needs to understand purchasers are very knowledgeable about perfume and know exactly what they want.

Art Deco Delight
I love this perfume and I have used it for about 40 years. It fits in whether you are just going shopping or out with the family or going out for a special occassion in the evening. It does not matter what age you are it will suit all. As it was first introduced in the 1920's women of all ages have been enjoying it for nearly a century, that is surely recomendation enough.
