In 1930s France, Pierre Balmain abandoned the study of architecture to pursue a love of fashion. The designs were popular intercontinentally, among both the Hollywood elite in America as well as French famous and wealthy aristocrats. The first fragrance was introduced in the 1940s, with a multitude of popular perfumes, colognes and skin care products to follow. All products are original, authentic name brands. The Eau de Parfum is a different scent!
The original Vent Vert was a clean, green and sexy invitation. I miss it tremendously - it was originated in the 1940's and 1950's and was a vanguard in fragrance! I don't know anything about this 1999 scent except it's ordinary.

Love It!
I know this fragrance he's been reformulated and reformulated and nothing compares to the 1947 original by Germaine Cellier (her bases were the stuff of legend) but i just like it. Reminds me of a spring day and mown grass. Simple

I was not satisfied by the perfumes. A few years ago I bought Vent Vert.The smell was great. The bottle very nice. This time the smell was different The bottle something else.Does not hold... Not a happy camper..Will not buy again...

GORGEOUS
I have used this Perfume since 1974 and as yet, have never ever 'gone off it'. I have struggled to purchase it and in the beginning could only find 1 shop in the whole of Bristol that stocked it.......its not got any better either !!! I love it and not a lot of people know the smell......sooo its nice not be smelling the same as everyone else LOL.

Elusive and Exlusive
It's no accident this has been around for so long. Perhaps because of its understated character is often overlooked but it's definitely worth seeking out. I wear it all the time and it has been my scent of choice for a while. People often ask me the name of my perfume and if they're lucky I tell them.

This has been my favourite perfume for decades and I absolutely love it. I once got into a cab to go out for the evening and the driver turned around and said, "It smells like a beautiful spring garden in my cab." I am so pleased to be using it again.

Long live Vent Vert!!!!!
Wonderful fragrance. It's first best forever favourite. Sadly, it's sometimes out of stock. The small size, which seems to have disappeared, was excellent for travel or to be able to have at work.....tricky to decant small amount from 100ml into my (old!!) little bottle. It would be lovely to be able to buy the smaller version occasionally.

James Bond's favourite perfume for women
I would use this perfume for any occasion as well as daily wear. It has stood the test of time and popularity. I have tried other " classics" but always prefer Vent Vert to anything else. Thanks for stocking it.

A sublime perfume/Fragrance
I am not young and I know it since childhood through my mother who was addicted to it, with only one other fragrance which is not yours (Hermes in fact) Thanks for making it and I am sorry you don't sell it in Israel at all and I always have to ask for it abroad

Vent Vert for ever
I use Vent Vert every day and have done so for some 50 years, that is when it is available. Seems a bit sad but I have tried many other perfumes and always come back to Vent Vert. Please keep it in stock.

Vintage Perfume
I hear that this fragrance was introduced o/a 1945, was discontinued and is now back again. Now I have a vintage perfume to go with my vintage/classic style. What a find. You won't find this one in the drugstore. I won't recommend it to a friend because I want to keep it my little secret.

I would buy this product again and again
I first used this perfume in the 60's and then forgot about it. When I tried to find it again Fragrance X was the only place I could get it. Every time I wear it (which is everyday) I get comments on it. I get panicky when it is out of stock but am always relieved when Fragrance X notifies me to say it is available again

First Love
This fragrance was a gift from my first husband on our first date ... over 40 years ago. After the parfumerie went out of business, I could not find it for ages. Have tried other fragrances, but always longed for the Vent Vert smell. I'm so glad to find it available again!

All that I expected and a great value
Vent Vert is a fragrance that my mother and I used back in the 60's. She had exquisite taste and knew quality and always cautioned me never to wear cheap perfume, but to always buy the best and apply it sparingly. Vent Vert was what she considered her "sneaky" summer perfume - one that people couldn't identify, but always loved on her. I am transported the minute I spray it on and it's a way to feel close to my mom now that she is gone.

we need to keep this fragrance a secret!
i've been using this product since i was a teenager in the 60's. men and women comment about it. i am loathe to reveal the scent but i always do. thank goodness it isn't easily accessible. i consider it my own private scent! i am extraordinarily proprietary about vent vert. hence, (see below) i absolutely would not recomment this to a friend.
