Such a beautiful chameleon!
I recently discovered Annick Goutal and fell in love w. the vintage flacon w the little bows and tags - outstanding quality tho, now I don't care which kind of bottle I end up with, they're truly remarkable French frags! Even the new ones. After a bit of hunting I've since been able to get a few goutals at ridiculously low prices, but this Huere Excuise EDP 3.4 oz was my first and I'll never forget it! From the bottle and right after spray it smelled so awful but not like it had gone off (fragx sent me a new bottle, not a vtg- which I ended up appreciating esp for $) - it was a very sharp & heavy green/tobacco-like note (prob the galbanum?) which improved a lot after storing it in a wine cab @ 54F. But just wait… at the dry down it suddenly morphs into something so beautiful & you're left with just a gorgeously stunning fresh green, slightly woody, powdery iris rose floral scent, almost reminiscent of a Chanel. I don't detect much vanilla in it, but get just a gorgeous clean almost soapy floral like the most fine & expensive French milled soap-wow, it truly is an experience wearing this scent & my fave Goutal. Highly recommend it, esp at this price! Thank you fragrance x! Will always come back here, quick shipping, wonderful prices, amazing experience!

Beautiful scent
I discovered Heure Exquise By Annick Goutal when we were visiting Paris on the Rue de Rivoli. I was enchanted. It is a sensual, deep scent that is as beautiful the first moment I put it on as well as towards the rest of the evening. I looked for it everywhere in higher end department stores and was very happy to find it here. The fragrance reminds me of the special time when the day turns from light to dark, the hour of dusk and shadow portending excitement ahead with the love of my life. The decanter is as exquisite as the perfume. After my first experience, I have since received it as a gift from my husband many times because he finds it as heady as I.

Love Annick Goutal's roses
I was introduced to Heure Exquise in Airport shop in Paris. I was happy to find it in upscale department stores in the US ..in the 90's.. It was my first Annick Goutal fragrance. (I like two others as well). It is rosey with sandalwood and iris notes...less rosey than my other two choices. I had bought from another on,too.line source at a higher cost so was delighted to find it at FragranceX. The scent was fresher. The bottle is easy to use to refill a small purse size spray bottle I have.

A masterpiece of feminine yet understated elegance. It is one of the most beautiful and easy to wear iris fragrances. Soft sandalwood and vanilla support a delicate floral, slightly powdery iris.
