Madeleine Vionnet was born in Loiret, France in 1876. Her talent for fashion and design was apparent from an early age when she worked as a seamstress at the age of twelve. She moved to London where she continued to work as a dressmaker and fitter. When she returned to Paris she worked for different fashion houses and designers including Callot Soeurs and Jacques Doucet. In 1912, she launched her own label and named it after herself. In 1925, it introduced its first perfume range that consisted of four scents: A, B, C and D. By this time the brand was also selling its designs in New York City and had expanded its range to include fabrics, furniture, accessories and bags. All products are original, authentic name brands.
