Murasaki Perfume by Shiseido, A veritable bouquet in a bottle, Murasaki perfume was launched in 1980 and features breathtaking scents of fresh gardens and natural wonders. The top notes are made up of hyacinth, galbanum, gardenia, and a touch of bergamot and peach. The middle notes are resplendent with decadent flowers including lily of the valley, rose, lily, and jasmine as well as a lovely hint of orris root. The base adds a touch of aromatic wood with oakmoss, vetiver, leather, musk, sandalwood, and amber. The fragrance is light and thoughtful and can last for half a day or more. The perfume is named after an ancient Japanese love poem about a woman only known as the purple flower woman.

lovely

This is just as I remembered it from 18 years ago! Powdery with a lasting sillage, lovely and soft. FOr use anytime but quite a special evening perfume, a bit different to all the OTT florals out there, not too in your face. Lovely.
