I was 20 years old in 1968, a full time job, two part-time jobs and in love with a beautiful woman. My work caused tension and clothes, flowers, etc did not ease the relationship. After a hair cut and shave, I had my shoes shined. As we talked, the man was 40 years my senior at least. He listened, he shared and shared his secret. Buy a bottle of Chanel #5 perfume. Worked and saved his marriage many times over the decades I was informed. He even guareented this says more than anything else of what a special woman she is and was to him. After my purchase, I just placed the perfume, gift wrapped, on her vanity. I was joined in the shower shortly afterwards as she had found and used the perfume. We were together 40 years and the bottle of #5 was never empty.

For many years this was my favorite but it is no longer the original floral fragrance I remember. Something has changed, and I don't think it's how my body chemistry "uses" the perfume. It seems not to be the very feminine smell as in the past. I doubt I will order it again. Nevertheless I would recommend it to others who are looking for a more earthy fragrance. I will continue to use the bottle I have on a daily basis.
