Charles Jourdan History and background of Charles Jourdan. Charles Jourdan was born in 1883 in France. In 1919, he began a shoe shop in Romans, in the Drome region of France.           I like to spray it on after a shower and let it dry. It's strong, smells a lot like Flower Bomb but is less expensive. It's wonderful outdoors.
          My husband says it smells like Old Ladies in the 1940's....but what does he know.
