Nice smell but not the same
This is not like the original. I was very excited as i could not get it for years. The 2019 is a nice smell, however its not the same. Why change it?? Keep original if anything . Ruined it :(

My favourite perfume of all.
I adore original Byzance and it is one of only two scents that seem to suit me. An outstanding exotic scent that makes me feel great and brings many compliments. I wish Rochas would bring this original version back.

HI, I'm glade to see I'm not the only one to be fan of Byzance. such as you I was expected it to be back, Guess what I did it ! when I knew He came back I bougnt it !!!! But It is only eau de Toilette what it is nothing but nothing compare to the original eau de parfum Sorry but I still have some from the old time !!!! So you may have deception if like me you try to get the thrill again !!! So try it and you'll see by yourself ! bye ! Nevermind I have 273 rodeo drive beverly hills from fred haymann so good I got it !!!!

Nouvelle Byzance
This review is for the 2017 version. I am fortunate to own a mini of the original formula Byzance and I'm not completely going to compare the two, at their essence they are the same. For me, the first version is the Queen, a true perfume of the 80's with all the decadence of the era in a beautiful blue toned coin shaped bottle. Starting at the bottle of the new version, it's drastically different, in fact it's the same design as the Madame Rochas bottle, so there is the familiarity there, and next the scent, instead of the Queen we have a Lady in waiting, it's toned downess is suitable to the era also. All in all I feel like the new Byzance is not as grandiose as it's predecessor but sparkles and shines just as much. To be honest I firstly thought FragranceX had the original version and before seeing the image I bought a bottle. Once I realized my mistake I sent a message to support who informed me that it was to late to stop the process but if I wasn't happy I could send it back. I initially planned to however, after a couple of weeks of deliberation ( I didn't even open it which took alot of will power) I decided to keep it and I'm really glad that I did, so if you would like to buy it I would recommend that you do!

I adore Byzance and have worn it for years. This new issue just doesn't seem to hold, last very well. After 2 or 3 hours, the scent is gone. However, i am still so grateful and overjoyed to be able to purchase again. I really dion't like the new bottle, presentation, and just want the old Byzance back in all it's uniqueness.

Just a beautiful perfume for all occasions .
I wear Byzance any time day or night it is just fabulous. I will purchase this scent for as long as Rochas continues to make it. Only complaint is that it is not always available.

I have been buying Byzance for 20yrs
I fell in love with Byzance when my Daughter-In -Law gave me a bottle for my Birthday 20yrs ago and I have been buying it ever since;I use it on a daily basis as it makes me feel special , and I am always asked for the name .My work colleagues say they know I'm around before they see me because they recognise the perfume!I often get comments like" It's lovely to be around you as you always smell so nice."

My favorite!
I got a bottle of this many years ago. Unfortunately, I dropped the darn thing in the sink and broke it all the heck! Been crying about it ever since. However, whenever/wherever I wore it, it drew lots of compliments and the aroma alone, made me feel sexy! Great cologne

I use Byzance everyday! it's perfect for day time and just in time for spring and summer! I had some and still had the bottle and I used the last of it and bought some more, I got the lotion too, so it helps to make it stay even longer! This is one you want to add to your perfume collection of good smells!

The only fragrance for me!
I happened on Byzance by accident about 10 years ago: I was given a fragrance sample of something else, and my friend was given a sample of Byzance. We quickly switched, and I've never looked back! I love the Oriental overtones and the musky subtones. It's the perfect fragrance for me!

Spicy floral fragrance for the elegant
Great smell that doesn't require a lot of perfume. Smell lasts all day (even smells on your clothes after washing on occasions). Draws comments on a regular basis from many people. Fragrance X offers this generally pricy perfume at a terrific price. Love it, love it, love it.
