This was my mother's signature scent until she could no longer find it. I loved the way it made her and her clothes smell. Even after being laundered, Her clothes would carry this scent. I would open her closet and inhale this scent from her clothes. She also used the powder and allowed me to use a little of that as well. So I was thrilled when I found this cologne again on fragrencex.com. I ordered a number of bottles, thinking it might disappear again. I still have a bottle left, but put myself on the waiting list because I don't want to run out. L'origon, like any scent with musk undertones, smells different on every woman, as it acts with that woman's individual chemistry. So I am beyond thrilled that it smells as good on me as on my mother. Please don't ever discontinue this cologne again! It is a beautiful, warm, sexy, unforgettable scent that has become part of my identity, as it was part of my mother's identity.

This is the first perfume my parents allowed me to wear.
I have used this perfume since my freshman year in high school. It has been my favorite for over 55 years. It is gentle and never overpowering or repulsive. People stand closer to you , and comment about how beautiful you smell. This is the only perfume my husband loves me to wear. I even spritz my yorkie's hair, so I can cuddle her and smell how wonderful she smells. I spray my pillowcases also and love to drift off to sleep. Please get in more of this Coty perfume, because I am totally out of it.

Nothing tops this scent. It will rise to the surface if you are active gathering compliments, boosting confidence. My wife is on a crusade to try as many of the old classic perfumes she can find. Having never tried any other than the current version of L'Origan, she found the scent rather nice. A pleasant floral. One spray lasted all day. One can only imagine the delicious scent of the earlier versions of L'Origsn which my wife has read so much about. For the inexpensive price, the current versions is definitely worth experiencing.

My father use to purchase lorigan for my mother over 45 years I remember it being in a black bottle my mother hasn't had any in 16 years since my father passed away I wanted to find some for her I went on city's web site and found where I could purchase it you now have a standing customer bless her heart mom couldn't believe I found some ..when she gets 1/2 way down bottle I'll order 2 the. I can have one I'm 57 and I still remember it's smell all these years later love love love it

disappointment
I was expected l' origan to be THE PERFECT vintage fragrance, but it turned to be an "old" very powdery one not in a good way, a cheap and not a great smell. A big disappointment.

This is an old high school scent of mine from 1968-1970 that was a favorite and still is today. I loved a perfume no longer made called "After Five" by Auvergne which this scent reminds me of. It's made to smell like the boxes of Coty loose powder which is so feminine and lovely. Can't find it anymore in the stores and that's why I order it and always have an extra on hand. Love it.

a classic, still holding its own
This is very old-style. It was undoubtedly cheapened, but it is still very good and more expensive-smelling than many perfumes which are so these days. If you consider buying blind, you need to factor in the facts that 1. it cannot pass in any way for something novel, or edgy, it is definitely a conservative (douce) spicy floral with an oriental flair, 2. it can register as a bit loud, 3. it is not very long-lasting.

I have been buying this perfume for years.
Many years ago, one of my employees was wearing this perfume and I could smell it all the way in the back of my Restaurant. I had to find out where it was coming from. Since then I have bought it for my wife, year after year and she loves it. So times it is not in stock, and that is frustrating at times. Keep it coming.

I've always loved this fragrance.
I love the smell, still smells great after yrs. I haven't had any for a long time. The scent just doesn't last as long as I would like it to. The price is affordable. Years ago there was a bottle covered in a black vinyl. Do you still have these or was it a promotional thing? I would like to purchase one if they're available.

CLASSIC MAGIC
It is a strong and spicy perfume. It is an all time classic. I would best describe it as the "1001 nights" of perfumes. By wearing it you may become Sherehezade and captivate King Shahryar. Make your nights full of eastern action, mystery and romance. Don't overdo it though because King Shahryar may lose his consciousness...

long time never fail favorite
This perfume should come with a warning......be prepared for men and women to get very close to enjoy your scent. Some comments I have had like "you smell so good" or that scent! What is it? It evokes wonderful memories. I always love your scent you smell wonderful .And most of all I like the scent on me. It's like aroma therapy on the go....Thanks l'Origan.

Favorite perfume of old!
I have looked for this L'Origan perfume for a long time and it was always sold out. To my surprise I found it and have been using it everyday. When I was dating my husband I used to wear this fragrance and it is still great. Thanks for supplying it.

A timeless scent for the assertive women
This perfume was a blind buy for me, i am a great fragrance lover and sometimes i like to try something new. If "l'origan" had travel trough some decades, there is a reason! It's a wonderful spiced scent, with a long staying power, but i have to say, don't buy it if you love tender and delicate fragrance. This one is for the assertive ladies!

My favorite scent
I love love love it - just wish it would come as an EDP ( a Cologne doesn't last that long on my skin). The perfume is wonderful, old-fashioned of course (after more than 100 years, it has been released in 1905!), feminine, suitable also for office and business situations - and everyone is asking what perfume I'm wearing. I came across these old Coty perfumes from using the Airspun face powder (and falling in love with it's scent) and this "L'Origan" is my new signature perfume.

Cannot dress with out it on.
This product has turned heads for years, and still to this day. I just wish it would be readily available, not just a couple of times a year. It has a timeless scent about it, that captivates you and stirs up a quest as to it warebouts in a room. I have been buying this for my wife over 35 years now, and it's still hard to get. Memories
I've been looking for this fragrance for 50 years. Bought it originally in the States when visiting as a paste. I've kept the empty bottle and smelt the fragrance on and off from this. Nobody had it in stock! Tried various places again in the States when visiting. No result! None in NZ. Then googling it recently brought up this site. I purchased at a reasonable price[...] I love it. Go to bed with it!

Powdery Spice
One whiff and I am taken back to summers spent with Grandma. This smells like home. I bought this for my Grandma but I did test it out one day. On me, it was very spicy, warm and powdery and it lasted ALL day.

My Signature Fragrance
I was introduced to this scent by my aunt in the 1950s. It was her signature fragrance and instantly became my favorite. Back then, I thought many fragrances smelled just great but now, alas, most either give me a headache or nausea. Not L'Origan! I do not know if the reformulated version holds up to the original but will try it soon. I was very surprised to learn it is so complex and spicy. Mostly, I get orange blossoms and jasmine with a spice base note. All noses are different. Wish I could still find Blue Carnation, just to see if I still like it.

It's as nice as I remember.
I grew up using L'Origan. I always got compliments on how nice I always smelled. When I couldn't find it anymore, I was quite upset, but thanks to FragranceX, I'm happy again and so is my husband. He loves it too. Thank you very much, and I will definately order again.
