Chergui was launched in 2005. Serge Lutens’ career began as a hairstylist. In 1960, he worked for Vogue magazine in Paris as a makeup artist. Over time, he worked as a photographer and film director. In 1982, he was commissioned to develop his first fragrance and that began his work in the cologne industry. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.

Disappointing
After years of hearing big hype for this perfume I bought a bottle and have to say what a colossal disappointment. This is not my first Luten fragrance experience. This smells like Fancy Man foot powder. Big No. Returned.

guys, what can I say! You need to go out and buy this fragrance. Talk about something that is sexy, classic, room commanding, and overall attractive. This is a fragrance where if you are going on a first date, I would highly recommend this tobacco, honey, almond and vanilla like fragrance. If you're wearing a suit and you want to smell like a million bucks... BUY IT

Tobacco note
This is an exquisite scent on a certain man PH balance than of a woman. The scent on my man(man of color) was lite tobacco, honey, amber, woody which all together gave Cherigue being a sexy, sweet earth scent on the right man.

have not disappointed. great perfume.
I was unfamiliar with Chergui but really enjoyed my sample. It's a mainly sweet smelling fragrance but not overly strong. I'm not sure I have all the notes down that I smell - they do blend together very well. Initially I get a sweet, warm amber mix with honey and incense overlaying that? There are also some type of powdery notes after a couple of hours. A stronger background of hay seems to exist through a lot of this scent as well. The honey and tobacco leaf are always there and even remain so in the base notes.

Signature for gourmand perfumes lovers
Very good Signature for serge lutens lovers , for me ; ambre sultan is much better , but this one is still special , if you like pure havane and l eau de nuit style of perfumes, you must try this one , you will be in heaven .

Moroccan Desert Wind
After contemplating on so many online reviews & comments. I took the leap into my first Serge Lutens collection. Its definitely something for the evening or Winter. What I love about it is the smell of hay & amber. There is also a resinous tone followed by spiciness. My only issue is that I found that the projection shrinks to stay close to the skin after 4 hours of wearing. Maybe its because of my country's humid weather?

Exotic Escapade
Chergui is a lovely, sexy scent that takes you on an olfactory magic carpet ride...it begins on a somewhat sharp, dry visit to the spice market, where cinnamon, honey, and soft wisps of tobacco and sweet hay swirl about. As the carpet leaves the dry, dusty earth, you are lifted on a heart of beautifully blended spices and resinous amber. The fragrance is by now indistinguishable from your own skin scent, heightening your sense of floating above the marketplace, while feeling the warmth and stability of your Chergui experience. As the carpet lightly touches down a short distance from the marketplace, you step off and head towards your American hotel, still carrying the soft, rich base notes of Chergui on your arms and neck. A flicker of scent trails behind as you walk; it has become embedded within your sensory memory bank, to be accessed every time you apply the fragrance. Great spicy warm tobacco fragrance
This is a beautiful fragrance for men or women and it is a beautiful sweet spicy tobacco- not smoky, but the aged tobacco leaves, which have a sweet, tangy smell. This is one of my all time favorite fragrances- This is my back-up bottle in case it ever gets discontinued. It's more than worth the $.

Interesting....
This is an interesting one; it did very little on my skin at the start but the longer it was on my skin it became more and more interesting with a little bit of sweetness and woody notes. I think when winter hits it will do even better on my skin.
