I have always loved this fragrance!
I originally purchased often from Victoria's Secret collections. Then, of course with all of their fragrances, they decide to discontinue. It was my absolute favorite. I was skeptical buying from another outlet, as in the past, I also purchased from another source and it was a weakened version. This seems exactly right, although I have only used a couple of times. I hope it is always available here, and I get notice if it is ever going to be discontinued. So far, I am very satisfied.

Not As Pictured
I did not receive the bottle of perfume pictured. It was in a different bottle which I was told indicates a "new" formulation. It went on too strong, like cheap perfume! NOTHING like the original! I was very disappointed in the misrepresentation & sent it back for a full refund immediately!

Unthinkable Why Basic Instinct was Discontinued
Been using this for sometime when one day, a co-worker asked what it was. When told, she asked if it was OK for her to get one for herself. Told her exactly where I bought it. She came back telling me how turned on her husband was when she began wearing it. By far, that's the best compliment I have ever received for a perfume and I have a big collection.

Basic Instinct Perfume by Victory Secret
This is another Victoria Secret perfume like the older fragrance,"Victoria", that they took off the market. Both of these perfumes were my favorite and many others, haven fallen in love with them and then having our heartbroken ever since they quit making it! Word of advise Don't get attached to any perfumes from Victoria Secrets, they don't know or don't appreciate a good thing, when they have one!

Would use this for a romantic evening, sprays floral dries down on me as a oriental spicy very little powdery smell very woody on me which I personally like. With my body chemistry I don't get the fruit. Very sensual great for a sexy night.

I used this as a romantic fragrance for bedtime. It's seductive, but not longlasting. It opens to a powerful spicy/earthy smell, but quickly fades to a powdery synthenic oriental fragrance, I personally don't get the fruity floral that is described by the makers, but that's just my body chemistry. All in all I do like the fragrant but probably won't buy again maybe we'll see. Try for yourself!!

Wear this fragrance if you'd like to be noticed. It differs from all these floral waters, which were brought to the market recently. Put it on if you have a special mood to wear it.
