I spent my young womanhood searching for a scent that suited me and was often disappointed when I found many scents changed when mixed with my body chemistry and actually smelled bad. Then, I met a girl who smelled like heaven...NORELL! I went out and purchased my first bottle and was assured that since it was entirely chemically produced rather than made with naturals, it was much more stable and my own body chemistry would not fight with it...I have used only NORELL since that time more than 40 years ago...then the original mfg stopped making it and I am grateful that you have picked up the scent...thank you.

I agree with CA by the sea, this product is not as good as it used to be; but I still love it! Five Star Fragrance Co., is the company that tends to make the fabulous fakes; copies of famous parfumes. Norell at first was manufactured by Norell Corp., Norman Norell was a designer and had a line of fragrance and cosmetics in the 60's. Then it was bought by Revlon and they manufactured it for a short time, now it is made by Five Star. It is definately missing something from the original recipe (I think the carnation for one); I'm sure that is why they can sell it for such a discount as it was a very high end parfume in it's day. I miss all the additional products like the body cream (it was luscious) and lotion and solid (that was to die for) but I still purchase the eau de toilette after 35yrs neither myself or my husband has tired of it! :)

First bought Norell in the 70s. Loved it then and love it now. Even the packaging is classy and understated - no unnecessary gimmicks. Norell is my anytime perfume and draws many compliments. I tend to spray my clothes rather than my skin. The perfume changes subtly from an initial floral hit to something much warmer. It is a little on the expensive side for everyday use, but hey... I'm worth it!
