Shalimar Light
The original Shalimar has been my favorite for many years but a little too heavy for daytime use. This Shalimar Initial is the same lovely fragrance but lighter which makes it perfect for anytime use.

Compliments where ever I go
I constantly get compliments from men & women & asked what perfume I am wearing, I use this perfume in the day & evening, what amazes me though is how many men comment when I wear this perfume ... It is almost like an add on TV for impulse where the men follow the scent ... I love to smell nice & receiving all these compliments tells me that Shalimar Initial is a winner 😊

Starting to Grow on Me
When I first received this product, I thought it was way too complex for me. After using it for a couple of weeks, this scent is now growing on me. The dry down is very nice, it is fluffy and powdery - very feminine. I wear the scent everyday, I am addicted. Also, this is my first time ordering from FragranceX - no problem with the product nor shipping.

A "Good" Mistake
I sampled Shalimar Parfum Initial in a store, and instantly liked it, thinking it was the parfum version of the original. However, I bought the original Shalimar, not realizing they were different scents. While I do like the original, I had to find this scent again. I had a hard time finding it in stores, again. Fortunately, I found it here. It's just as I remember in the store.

One of Guerlain's better flankers
The original Shalimar is beyond compare and I love it. Many perfume lovers feel that having ANY flanker based on Shalimar is tantamount to sacrilege. However, Shalimar Parfum Initial is a delightful fragrance that deserves to be appraised on its own merits. I do catch whiffs of its predecessor, but the starring notes of PDI are powdery iris, rich sweet vanilla, and an opening blast of sunny citrus. It's a cheerful, light-hearted daily scent - and even if it's not the Grand Old Dame of perfumery, PDI is well worth appreciating for its own radiant beauty.

Amazing
Sunlight captured by the warm afternoon! At place, where the nights are hot. :-) The fragrance is unique on my skin! And I recieve nice compliments from different people, even sometimes from ones who I do not know. It evolves and changes every hour, but continuisly remaining some main notes-powdery, rose, balmy, sweet. But you cannot distinguish them separately, it is a great mix, which you just enjoy. When I am with Shalimar Initial, it is like I have a magical veil, aura around me, which changes the reality and the mood. :-) Longlasting and rememberable. When I feel the odour of Shalimar Initial, I remember the legend and I believe that all the mystery, love and sence of exotic is captured in the gently designed bottle. I believe I can use it anytime and in any season. :-)
