Deseo Forever Perfume by Jennifer Lopez, Deseo Forever is a floral perfume for women, created by Coty and officially released in Asia in 2008. It was created as a sister perfume to the original women’s scent, Deseo, released the same year.
The second edition is a lighter version, with top notes of orange, apple and peach. The middle notes are perfectly balanced with mineral accord, rose, magnolia and lily of the valley. The base notes are very subtle and woodsy with notes of sandalwood, oak moss and amber. This softer scent still holds all the succulent aromas of a nighttime garden but is fresh enough to wear during the day or night.
Jennifer Lopez and the perfumers of Coty created this additional scent for the singer and actress’s line of fragrances. They are a team that has worked together before, creating a multitude of popular fragrances under her name. Lopez gained fame in the 1990’s as a dancer and singer and eventually segued into movies. She started her film career in the movie Selena. Creating a top-selling perfume is not a stroke of luck for the star who has had much success with her fashion and beauty products over the years. A beautiful aquatic scent but lasting power is too short
A more aquatic variation of the original Deseo that takes you from the lushy green tropical rain forest into the waterfall clearing. I would prefer this fresher version over the original on hot summer days, but sadly the longevity is not impressive at all. Gorgeous flacon nonetheless, of which I will be keeping after the juice runs out.
