Byblos Amethyste Perfume by Byblos, Byblos Amethyste is a women’s perfume that wears best in the spring and the summer. It opens with top notes of peony, bergamot, and wild raspberry. The middle notes of jasmine sambac, violet, and tonka bean follow, with amber, musk, and vetiver base notes concluding this symphony. The bottle is light purple, with a light gray neck and spray cap. The accompanying box packaging depicts an amethyst.

Byblos was founded in 1973 by Genny SpA, an Italian fashion company known for designing, manufacturing, and distributing its own brands. Byblos, known for its youthful ready-to-wear line, became an independent company in 1983 and then was acquired in 2002 by Swinger International. The company has boutiques in Italy, Cyprus, China, and South Africa. The brand has extended beyond clothing, into footwear, eyewear, jewelry, handbags, children’s collections, and fragrances.
