"Night Flight" is a historic fragrance originally launched by Jacques Guerlain in 1933. The fragrance is named for the eponymous novel, which was written by the designer's personal friend Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Saint-Exupery was an airmail pilot for the Aeroposta Argentina Company, and this daring fragrance pays homage to the adventurers of aviation during that time. The fragrance is so weak that it only lasts on you for one hour tops. It's way to expensive for what you get in terms of durability and silage. The smell is beautiful with the prominence of narcissus flower.

Very lovely fragrance.
I tried this because I have had a lifetime love affair with Guerlain! I have tried a few of their fragrances, but not all of them because they were impossible to find, even at high end department stores. This is a very feminine scent with a hint of mystery

Has been revived
Guerlain's perfumer, Theirry Wasser, is said to have tweaked various Guerlain perfumes with favourable outcomes. I love vintage perfumes, but not for the sake of them, I also love vintage inspired perfumes such as Love Chloe and Infusion D'Iris, so I was going to be a sucker for VdN anyway. Clean and fresh VdN is not, it's incense, sandalwood, narcissus on the slight touch of Guerlain in the base and it lasts reasonably well on me although it doesn't have massive projection or sillage. I wear it mainly because I don't get sick of it. I do get sick of many of my much loved fragrances, I get a bit tired of patchouli or musk or cal one, but I don't get sick of VdN, it's like a second skin

Beautiful perfume!
I bought it as a summer perfume for my mother who loves a little heavier oriental perfume usually. Vol de Nuit EDT is very wearable even in humid summer. It might sound funny but you may feel like you use slightly sweet powder in cool forest. I guess mature people can handle it in both casual and special occasions.

Makes me feel special
When I was a child I "stole" from my mother a few of her perfumes, this was one of them. It still gives me a feeling of great value, now it is mine and it has the fragrance of my childhood. I love it very much, without being able to accurately describe its features, but I can imagine that Marlene Dietrich or Ava Gardner could have used it.

This is one of the most beautiful perfume I know and I am a GUERLAIN addict! Beside you don't find the refillable bottle in France anymore. I don't mind waiting for one month and paying the french taxes as I did; it's still worth it. I would recommend Fragrance X anytime.
