Jean Bousquet, who created Cacharel in 1962, was born to make clothes. He was the son of a sewing machine salesman and trained as a tailor in college. He named his brand after a small bird found in the Camargue region of his native France. The year after the company's launch, one of its designs appeared on the cover of Elle. The brand quickly became a household name and was revered for its feminine and youthful looks. It entered the fragrance industry in 1978 and relies on a talented group of noses, including Robert Gonnon, Raymond Chaillan, Olivier Polge, and the perfumers behind this scent, Carlos Benaim and Sophie Labbe. I love this perfume. It is the only one I have found that doesn't make me feel sick when I wear it. I get compliments all the time on how amazing I smell. It really makes me feel good about myself. I'm so glad I was able to find more! Very hard to find.

Very simple floral scent

Never get tired of the smell
I get compliments everysingle day!! In school, church, park .. wherever i go..!! people just love it!! but its so hard to find becasue its not being produced anymore.. which is sad..!! but its a great perfume!!!!!!!!!

I love this fragrance!
I purchased this fragrance for my daughter. It's a very beautiful, yet sexy fragrance. Ashley purchased Promesse almost four (4) years ago in a department store. The stores stopped carrying the fragrance. Now we shop at FragrancX.com to obtain this fragrance. Promesse is long lasting and my daughter receives lots of great compliments! I love this fragrance so much that I purchased it for myself, my mom, and will buy more for 2010 Christmas gifts!

Love this perfume!!
I absolutely LOVE this perfume! I originally purchased it at a department store about 4 years ago and when I ran out I went back to get more but to my surprise they stopped carrying this item. I had looked for this perfume at many stores and could never find it until I looked on fragranceX. I have no idea why this is not available in stores anymore, it smells great! I have received many compliments on promesse from both guys and girls. I loved this perfume so much that I bought one for myself and also my sister. I hope that fragrancex continues to carry this item, if not I would make sure to stock up on this perfume...thats how good it is!

I love this perfume
I wear it all the time. I am a middle aged woman but my 19 year old college daughter wears it too; she loves it. Many compliments from guys and gals. I am never without this perfume since 2006. I got it initially as a gift from a young student from France who brought it from Paris.

I absolutely LOVE Promesse. My significant other loves it too. When you first spray it on, it is a bit powerful (what perfume isn't) but after about ten minutes it tones down. It stays with you too, i can still smell the subtleness of it in the morning.
