They changed scent,not original Ambush!!!! Want original!
Beren using Ambush since I was a teenage but lately could not find it. When I found it online, I ordered and was shocked when I got it!! They changed the scent, it smells like cheap perfume, awlful!!! How can you can a perfume, which is a scent and nothing else, and sell it like it like it was never changed! I should have sued therm!!!

Very disappointed in the Customer Service. I received DEFECTIVE spray bottles. CS refused to help with the problem. They wanted to see the issue via photo/video. However, the issue with the sprayer can only be seen if you have the bottle in hand. Never did they ask for this. So here I am stuck with 2 bottles of perfume that can not be used.

Love Ambush, glad it's back, been using for 50 years!
I use the product daily. I love the scent. People always comment on my cologne. I was so disappointed when they stopped making it but I was extra happy when I found it againl I have allergy problems with most colognes but I do not have problem with Ambush. I love it.

I love this product and will always buy it!
I get migraine headaches really easy from a lot of perfumes due to being to strong. But with Ambush I can wear every day with no problem. The sent is not to strong and smells really good. I love the little sent of melon that it has.

I used this for 20 years and thought they took ot off shelf. I am so glad I found this page. Would love to find the lotion💗 My son is now 25 and he said to me that he remembers that smell. When he smells it he thinks of me.

it's a 'trip' back to 1965!
AH, AMBUSH= my friend Diane and I rallied up in the high school cafeteria before classes and sprayed ourselves liberally especially an extra squirt on our poofed up teased hair! Then,. of course, our black lace stockings at the backs of our knees! The hitch is that this offering does not smell as heavy and spicey as in the day! We probably stunk up the whole third floor every morning!!

I gave Ambush as a gift. It usually takes a few minutes but the scent improves with body heat. It is not "weak" so much as it is understated. Adding more won't improve the scent on you, but it is truly a mesmerizing aroma. It is not musty, but it calls to mind elms and oaks and other woodsy settings. Think of it this way; imagine eating some subtle yet flavorful cheese and grapes. Now imagine eating those within a grove of redwoods.

The old forumla was better
I wore both Ambush and Tabu in the 60s, and enjoyed both scents. I still wear Tabu, but I am not impressed with the reformulated Ambush scent. The old formula was so much better. Please Dana, bring back the old formula and let US decide wich we want!

A Lot for Less
The price was unbelievable for the amount of ounces contained in the bottle. I remembered this fragrance from long ago, but it doesn't smell as good as I thought it used to. It is too weak and must be frequently reapplied. I plan to order a different one next time.

I worked for Dana Perfumes for 33 years in the compounding dept from 1963 until 1997. The original Ambush cologne was a compaion product to mens Canoe colgne. They are the exact Fragrance, but Ambush is heavier for women. Sometime in the early 1990s, the powers that be came with up with idea too make a new fragrence for Ambush. I told them I didn't think that was a good idea, but they new better. The new fragrence was very nice, but should have had new name. Needless to say both products suffered. If you want the old Ambush buy mens Canoe cologne and put it on a heavier.

Amazing value for an amazing perfume
Considering the size, this has to be the best value perfume I have ever bought from this site. Amazing smell, although not quite as good as Tabu (nothing can beat that), but this is a very close second. Only bad thing is that the bottle is not the same as in the picture.

Not really Ambush
I was led to believe by your ad that this Ambush was the one Dana introduced in 1955. I started using it as a teen in the 60's and loved it. In the mid 90's Dana reformulated it, some idiot fired for New Coke no doubt came up with this incredibly stupid idea. In just about 2 years the brand died. I predicted this but no one at Dana listened. I was so thrilled when I saw your ad. The bottle looked like the original bottle. So, I ordered. I knew almost instantly it was the "roach spray" and not the classically beautiful fragrance. The bottle did not look anything like the original bottles with the pink top and not like what was shown (classic bottle) in your ad. I tried it and asked my sons and husband and niece. "No," they all said, "doesn't smell like you used to always smell." So I called and the young lady admitted it was the "reformulated" kind. Today I called again to see where exactly to mail the bottle. I was told and I quote, "We are just an outlet store, we have no way of knowing what version of the fragance it is." Really??? So, tough cookies, Kid and by the way, it cost almost 8 dollars to return. Well, unless I get some sort of recompense for being misled we will part company. I would order other fragrances for family and friends and that was my plan but my plan now, is to make Fragrances X an X shopping site.

Modern?
I was trying to restock my original Ambush and find the reformulated version not to my liking, though one son (30) on whom i tested it liked this one better (I said he could give the bottle to his girlfriend). The other (28) like the original, he said it was "spicier." Can neither recommend nor criticize: it's just not for me.

Packaging sells
The bottle is not the original spray bottle (it's not even a spray bottle at all), nor is it the bottle that's pictured on the website. I'm quite disappointed with that, but over all the perfume itself is delicious. I love the scent, just as I remembered it.

On a whim I checked for Ambush on your website. I used to wear this in high school. In fact back then I was able to get it in a solid form a 2 inch in diameter stick maybe 5 inches tall wrapped in foil in a decorative bottle. Looking at all the descriptive scents about it and they are things i still love today. So excited to be able to find it again!!!

Great value for every day. I purchased this in a batch of samples plus the awful Replique gift set. Very pleasant.I love the 15ml sample. All samples should be 15 ml so you get a feel for the fragrance.

I have used this cologne for more than 20 years. I get many compliments but my favorite one was from my grandaughter (age 5 at the time). While watching me get ready for work one day she asked if she could have a spray so she could "smell nice like grandma".
