Oscar de la Renta founded his self-named fashion design house in 1965, and went on to become one of the most recognizable fashion brands of the 20th and 21st century. The founder was born in the Dominican Republic in 1932, and gets much of his fashion and fragrance inspiration from his homeland. The brand’s first fragrance launch was in 1977, and has enjoyed commercial success since its release. Today the brand has over 50 fragrances in its collection.
