Capucci is the brand named for Italian fashion designer, Roberto Capucci. After attending art school, he opened his first atelier in 1950 in via Sistina. By his mid-20s, he was considered the best designer of Italian fashion, even receiving the Boston Fashion Award for best creator of fashion in 1958. His work was shown in a museum in Rome in 1970 as part of a collection that revolutionized fashion traditions. After much continued success in his career, in 2005 he founded Fondazione Roberto Capucci to preserve his art and dresses.
