Men love this perfume! But go easy with it gals, because it can go from heavenly to whoa! in one short spray. I sometimes spray it in front of me and then walk into it so that the scent is diffused and a bit mysterious. I was thrilled at the price offered by FragranceX. If you are into expensive perfumes, this is the place to shop.

My brother introduced me to Shalimar when I was 13 yrs old, way back in 1968. I have worn it ever since at least a few times every week. I have always been told I smell good. I have asthma and can't wear a lot of perfumes. I have never been bother by any of the Guerlain perfumes. I also like Samsara.

I HAVE OVER 200 FRAGRANCES AND I IGNORED SHALIMAR FOR YEARS. I AM 42 YEARS OLD AND I HAVE TRULY FOUND THE SCENT THAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR YEARS. I DON'T KNOW HOW I COULD HAVE OVERLOOKED THE BEST FRAGRANCE EVER MADE FOR ME. IT WAS RIGHT UNDER MY NOSE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I am never able to purchase this in the department stores or perfume stores. No one carries Shalimar Body Lotion - only perfume, toilet water, cream or powder. If they do they are always out of it!!!. So glad to get it thru Fragrance X AND at a discount!

If a woman could use only one fragrance, this classic should be it! Both men and women will appreciate the distinctive aroma. The original blend is worth its rather expensive price, and those around you will know you got your money's worth. The staying power of the spray bottle of Eau De Toilette makes it the better choice for those on a budget. This is no teenager's bubble gum fragrance, but one for a real woman.

I have been using Shalimar for 50 years. It is a classic. And I try to get a couple to last long enough since I use the 7oz refill and they are usually hard to come by.
I do alot of traveling overseas and must add that your prices are better than any of the Duty Free Stores I have been in and I have been in alot of them. Love the soft smell of vanilla that clings to you all day.

Shalimar is a fragrance that I always go back to and have worn since age 14 (I am now 47). Although I may change to something similar in the summer, I am always asked by my husband to please go back to my Shalimar. What can I say about such a classic that hasn't been said before? The opening is an explosion of honeyed fruit and the sweetest of spice. The middle is indescribably sexy, and the amber in the drydown is fantastic. Throughout, the floral notes are anchoring, never overpowering. The powdery hints in the finish put just the right softness on the bold and rich amber; this masterpiece has been around for nearly a century for a good reason.
Simply put: it is an extremely rich, decadent night-out (or in!) fragrance. Wear it to work only if you want evil rumors to circulate about the office.
And yes, if you like Obsession or Anne Pliska, both launched in the 1980's, once you try Shalimar, you'll know from whence they both stole their inspiration.
