I have worn Opium for years; first time it was from France. The states version is less fragrant but still smells good. Everyone knows when I try a new fragrance and tells me to go back to Opium. Using the lotion and shower gel is great and adding the Eau De Toilette enhances the fragrance. I love it!

What can I say? I really like strong French perfumes, but remember what I said about Coco by Chanel? It's important to choose the strength carefully which in this case, I use the eau de toilette. It's like seasoning your food before you cook it. Using too much can overpower and take away from the flavor. You just want to enhance a little bit.
I do wear this fragrance in the daytime, but very lightly. Even the eau de toilette can come on strong, but if used lightly, it not only goes a long way, but adds a hint of excitement.
This works fabulous with the Opium's shower gel.

Opium is a classic for a reason. Its a heady oriental, and should not be overapplied ! I love it in the cooler months, but is fine in Summer if used sparingly. Delightful, and not for the faint hearted !!

I love this scent. I had a total stranger that I see around at work come up to me and say "Excuse me but I had to say something - you always smell so good!" I particularly love the deodorant as I won't wear anti-perspirant. I also enjoy the full line - soap, shower gel, moisturizer, cologne, perfume, etc. In winter I sometimes wear a spritz of cologne in my hair and use the moisturizer all over. It is a deep, rich, oriental scent, and lasts a long time without being overpowering. I have worn this and nothing else for over 20 years! Just cannot find a scent I like better.

Opium perfume is one of those scents which has a lot of personality. You either love it or you don't. My friend absolutely loves it, so I bought her 2 bottles for her next birthday.
