Divine Folie Perfume by Jean Patou, Divine Folie, first launched in 1933, is a soft, feminine fragrance for the woman who appreciates the classics.
Romantic and warm, it evokes a friendly, confident charm. Neroli begins the scent journey with a green citrus aroma. Its juicy tanginess is mellowed by a pleasant bitterness. Timeless rose layers on a velvety sweetness made exotic by a touch of spicy clove. A trail of milky vanilla finishes the fragrance, soothing the body and the mind. Divine
Folie’s rich ingredients blend together for a delicate and elegant signature scent.
French fashion designer Jean Patou moved to Paris in 1910 with dreams of becoming a couturier. He started a small dressmaking business soon after. In 1914, his entire collection was purchased by one American customer. He is credited with creating the tennis skirt and knitted swimwear. He also popularized the cardigan sweater. The Jean Patou company has launched 35 different fragrances for women and men. All products are original, authentic name brands. We do not sell knockoffs or imitations.
History and background of Jean Patou. Jean Patou was born in Normandy, France, in 1880. Patou's father was a leading tanner (leather maker) and his uncle owned a fur business which Patou joined in 1907. In 1912 Patou opened Maison Parry, a small dressmaking salon in Paris, and sold his entire 1914 collection to one American buyer. His career was then interrupted by the war, which he spent as an army captain.
