English Lavender Perfume by Yardley London, Launched in 1873, English Lavender continues to be one of the most popular fragrances by Yardley London. Although the top note is dominated by fresh lavender, it also has a whiff of rosemary and eucalyptus for a spicy greenness that is refreshing. The heart of the fragrance centers on clary sage, cedar and geranium for a bit of warm woodiness. The base notes of a musk, Tonka bean and oakmoss give English Lavender some earthiness without losing the delicate, lavender floral that has made this fragrance a favorite for generations.

Yardley London was founded in 1770 and remains one of the most famous perfumers in the world. Hey everyone, Rachel here. And today I'll be reviewing Yardley's English Lavender fragrance. This scent was introduced in 2015 as part of Yardley's contemporary classic series. Of course, English Lavender is the dominant note in the fragrance, appearing in the heart notes. But the scent also includes top notes of bergamot and clary sage, supporting middle notes of geranium, jasmine, violet, chamomile, and eucalyptus, and base notes of wood, vanilla, and sage. Great all-purpose cologne

Englich Lavendar's effect on people is hard to describe. Wear it and children think you smell 'pretty', the women around you get nostalic for a female relative who smelled of lavendar who was so, so lovely, and for such a 'plain' scent, men tend to get a bit wild eyed...lavendar is after all

NOT A LAVENDER SCENT!

I thought it would be just a Lavender scent by itself. As the name suggests. But it has VERY VERY Little lavender scent and just smells like a bunch of mixed up STRONG flower scent!! Very disappointing!!!! Will not buy again!! M. Whalen

I absolutely love it

I have tried several lavander perfumes and this is the only one that actually smells like lavander and it is not clouded with other smells. It lasts all day. It stays just as stong as when I first put it on yet it's still a soft clean smell not overwhelming or over powering. It pairs beautifully with the lavander lotion also by Yardley London. Next I am buying the bodywash. I can not wait!

English lavender by Yardley

At first, I ordered this fragrance as a gift, and then, after the compliments I heard about it, I decided to buy it for myself. It's nice, but the smell is not exactly what I remembered since my childhood years, when I used to smell it. Back then, the lavender fragrance was overwhelming, but without being strong... it brought to me images of nature, of morning dew... now it is mixed with the other ingredients, and, in my opinion, the fragrance is altered quite a lot.

English Lavender Not As Strong as French

I've used French lavender soaps in the past. They had the bits of plant in the soap and a strong smell. This English soap's scent is very subtle. I want a stronger lavender scent, so that is the reason I would not recommend it. If you like a subtle scent, you'd be happy with it.
