L. T. Piver has been making perfumes for the likes of King Luis Xvi of France and other royals and sophisticated persons since 1774. It is thought to be one of the oldest perfumeries in Europe. Hey, everyone. Rachel here. And today, I'll be reviewing Reve d'Or by L.T. Piver. Piver is one of the oldest fragrance houses and current perfumery. And Reve d'Or was released in 1889. This old school scent is characterized by woody and aromatic accords. The top notes are orange blossom, roses, geranium, and vetevar, moving into a heart of heliotrope and a base of sandalwood. cologne for my mum

it's a gift for my mum.. coz she said she had this cologne when she was younger.. i had to research in perfume forums based on the 'name' she remembered and finally decided to try searching the cologne's availability in online shops.. im really glad fragrancex carries this i received the package

and smelled the cologne and i love the smell myself.. it's floral yes but moreso, it's cozy, warm, aromatic relaxing and not too overpowering.. i'll probably get one myself :))

Useful for vintage lovers

Opens with aldehydes, and then moves soon to carnation. Smells very familiar... fairly simple but elegant. I really like it, as carnation is my favourite flower smell. And as always the packing, shipping and customer service is excellent!

Cap came broken

This is a vintage perfume and didn't really cared for it. There is a spice that I don't like on me.
